We enjoyed our stay so much, we wish we could have stayed a few more days! Very spiritual place that gave us much needed rejuvenation before heading back home. We will come again!

Staying at Stoney Ridge was literally a breath of fresh air...Candace and Mike clearly put a lot of work into their beautiful property, and my husband and I loved exploring the tree swings and various pathways/lookout points. Their dog and cat are often happy to explore with you! The sauna is also lovely and has a great view if you enjoy the heat. Wineries and good hiking are just down the road. We truly enjoyed getting to know Candace and learning from her wisdom and spirit! This is definitely a place to go for physical and mental relaxation in a beautiful environment and we hope to be back!

This place is very hard to leave. Such a sweet sanctuary has been created on this Stoney ridge overlooking vineyards and views of snowy peaks. Every sunset was a chance to spend time on the land, sitting on benches, discovering new nooks, swings, blossoming trees buzzing with bees, wandering to and from the sauna, taking in glorious views, local wine and a kind of unplugged conversation that is precious in this day and age. I recommend spending all the time you can here in this little garden paradise

This was an absolutely wonderful getaway. A quiet and cozy retreat that let us see the sun both set and rise. We got massages, sat in the sauna, went on a Candace-recommended hike down the street, and just sat and stared at the rolling expanse of wine country. Candace was an excellent host who was there if we needed, but otherwise gave us all the space in the world. Couldn't have really asked for much more.

Candace is a super host. This location is so spectacular, we're still raving about it a week later!! The private room is more like a private studio apartment overlooking gorgeous orchards and down the street from beautiful vineyards. We enjoyed the sauna in the evening and even fit a massage into our short trip in the morning. I couldn't imagine a more perfect 24 hours in Washington.

Candace & Mike Meils have lived in the northwest for over 30 years:
..Their love of this Yakima Valley which provides hiking, biking, kayaking, camping and fishing , the seasons, the abundant sun and water(!) ,, the growing of foods.....
In 2012 (finding) Airbnb provided the opportunity to invite other nature loving folks to come and experience this stoney ridge hilltop and it's enchantment!
For the last 8 years we have worked to create a low impact earth friendly oasis in the desert...due to the abundance of water.
We are less than 1 & 1/2 miles to 2 local wineries, Cowiche Canyon Conservatory for hiking, bird watching daily, flowers, fruit and vegetables, and perhaps inspiring garden art for you!
We invite kinfolk who love the outdoors, expansive views, privacy, quiet times, their independence and others...and as Washington has now legalized marijuana, we are also cannabis friendly. Yakima has both recreational and medical shops available and a brochure is provided in your room.
We invite those who wouldn't have a problem with a private composting toilet, in the summer an outdoor solar shower, unusual paths and cozy nooks hidden thru out the property, the eclectic setting and design,
love our dog Bhodi and Mr. Kitty,
and see our hilltop expression as a creative project in process, always continuing.......................
We are open to the public February 20-November 15....while weather is most inviting!
Welcome to Stoney Ridge, we are looking forward to meeting and sharing this sacred place with you...
Candace and Mike Meils!
