Valérie was an exceptional host. She was welcoming, friendly and available when needed. Our flight to Paris was canceled for weather so we arrived a day later than expected. She was flexible about our meeting time and generously offered to let us extend our stay on the end due to the fact that we missed the first night of our reservation. The apartment was cozy, clean, and had simple bohemian flair. It was well located in the 6th near great shops restaurants, transportation, and museums, and was perfect for our needs. She left us a bottle of wine and other beverages in the refrigerator, and the apartment was well stocked with the basics. We would absolutely stay here again while in Paris.
Valerie’s studio flat was incredibly comfortable and just perfect for 2 people. We loved the uniqueness of the rooms, the bare wood beams, the skylights, and the terrace (even in February!). Valerie is a very welcoming and kind host. She did everything she could to wait for us to arrive, even though due to an RER train delay, we were 2 hours late from the airport to meet her. We had no French cell phone service and so no easy way to contact her while on the train waiting and waiting and waiting. Eventually, we was able to phone her and she promptly met us at the flat to let us in. We decided to take a taxi back to the airport on our departure and Valerie was very kind to book it for us.
The St. Michel/ St. Germain neighborhood has tons of places to eat and things to do. There is a Metro station, literally around the corner. You can see the Eiffel tower and a sliver of Notre Dame from the flat's window. The neighbors and street noise were almost non -existent.
When we come back to Paris we would definitely stay here again. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars!
We had a lovely stay at Valerie's apartment in St Germain. It was our first visit to Paris and we felt so fortunate to have such a perfect location as our home base. So perfect that although the apartment is close to the Metro we choose to walked to all our key destinations -- Louvre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Musee d'Orsay, Marais, Latin Quarter, Montparnasse, Champs Élysées, ect. Valerie was a wonderful host. Easy communication throughout the booking process, met us on arrival, and even booked us a cab for an early morning departure flight. The stairs up to the apartment just added to the experience. As recommended by Valerie, the falafel place just downstairs serves inexpensive and wonderful takeaway. My husband accidentally left his wallet there and when he went back, "Spring" had it safely stowed for him. A real gentleman. And a great cook. A wonderful apartment. Highly recommended.
Valerie made us very welcome in her lovely apartment located in a great area. The lovely fluffy towels and the special treats in the kitchen, especially in the fridge, were very much appreciated after a long trip.
Valérie was very welcoming and easy to contact. She has thought of absolutely everything in her apartment, as it is very well stocked and functional. It's situated in the perfect spot, right next to RER and metro lines, and we couldn't believe it when you look out the window and can see the Eiffel Tower! We had such a wonderful stay and the apartment is beautiful, clean and cosy in winter. We couldn't have asked for more!
Valerie's apartment was perfect for our stay in Paris. The location was incredible, very close to Saint Michel RER and Metro, which meant it was accessible from everywhere! We also enjoyed wandering around the streets; Saint Germain is very close and the city centre is just a short walk away. Valerie was the perfect host - she has thought of every little detail to make for an incredible Paris stay and left us with a little notebook of great tips for places to visit around the neighbourhood. We had everything we needed and more! I would highly recommend this apartment for any visit to Paris and would love to stay again if I ever have the opportunity. Our only regret was having to rush off for dinner on the first night, meaning we couldn't get to know Valerie more!
Perfect location, I would say strategic to reach every site eighter by foot or by train/su way! Very kind the host being always ready to help in case of need. thanks Valerie, five unforgettable days with my husband and our two guys!
I am from Paris and every day I feel so grateful to live here.
I grew up here, studied here, then traveled the world and came back.
Paris has this special spirit and beauty that makes it so unresistible.
I chose rue Saint André des Arts in the 6° arrondissement because it is like a small village in the big city.
I'm also in love with India and I go there as often and as long as possible.
