The Space

Wecome to Rome!

"A nice stay in Rome B & B" is a charming, sunny, cosy and friendly B & B completely renovated with love and taste in 2005.

It is located in a very safe, lively and characteristic neighbourhood where you can find a lots of restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, internet café (free wi-fi also available in the apt!) and dry cleaner's.

Public transportation is impressive as I live right off either “Ponte Lungo” or “Colli Albani” A-Line stops which takes you to/from Termini Central Station (where Fiumicino Airport trains arrive) in 10 minutes. It takes about 15 minute to get you to the very touristic city centre (Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo etc.) Just round the corner there are also many bus lines stops! Rememeber that on weekdays subcloses at 21.00 and it's this way all over the city!

Some Rome Guide Books are also available in the big, quite and welcoming bedroom for you!

The buffet breakfast includes: espresso or American coffee, tea, fruit juice, biscuits and cakes. Sorry but no use of kitchen: it's by italian B & B law.

I do love travelling and meeting people from other countries. So feel free to ask me any question about Rome so to enjoy it at its best!

Since I work as a freelance, check in/out has to be agreed before booking so to welcome and greets you :)

Look forward to hosting you!

  • I had great time at Gio's flat. Gio's place is really comfortable, clean and beautiful. She gave me every information I need. Nice breakfast and warm chat. Highly recommend !

  • Advantages: 1. Clean and tidy home.
    2. Easy to locate (bus number 87 takes you to the main places). The bus stop and metro stations are close to her house.
Disadvantages: 1. It takes 30 minutes to reach the city center.
    2. Very cheap breakfast (everything cold). Use of kitchen was not permitted, so we could not drink hot water or hot milk there.
    3. Count your time and money for travel and second breakfast. The apartments in city-center come with comparable prices.

  • Our stay in Rome was fantastic..! Wonderful apartment, Gio's house is clean and comfortable. The coloured walls will give you an immediate sense of "home" and well being. Gio has been a great host, ready to give every information and suggestion you may need and to have a nice chat with her guests. Have a taste ;)

  • Good location if you don't mind taking a 25 minute metro ride to the sights and attractions of Rome. Gio was a reasonable host who was mostly preoccupied during my stay so I didn't get a chance to interact much. The house is very tidy and clean. For the price, I did expect to have better bedding and towels provided though.

  • Gio was a fantastic host, so helpful and friendly, she even helped us plan our itinerary to ensure we got the most out of our visit.

The flat is spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Gio's original artwork and individual style of decor make it a really interesting place to stay.

The location meant that it was very easy to get in and out of the centre of Rome whilst being away from the hussle and bussle.

    Thanks for a lovely stay!

  • Overall a pretty nice place. Gio is a nice host and helpful with any questions. Very clean and comfortable apartment. I wouldn't exactly call it a bed and "breakfast". Yes, there is some food in the morning but nothing more than toast and coffee and fruit. Also the lack of privacy was a big issue for us. We came back every day to find our things in our room rearranged and the door left open. Granted nothing was missing, but with the door open and other guests coming into the house, it seemed less than secure. Overall, it was a nice place, but the invasion of privacy is a big turn off.

  • Hi Gio. We just returned to UK after our EU tour. Your place and B&B package is value for money. The location is great and we love shopping in the street and the best Gelato there as well. You cannot find good Gelato in hot tourist (website hidden) to the city is easy too. The only problem is that I had problem with the main door key sometimes. Still we enjoyed our stay in Rome. • Staying with Gio was a great experience. Gio is a really interesting and kind person. Very welcoming to us, eager to explain about the area, answer questions and get to know us as soon as we arrived even though it was late. The place was pretty manageable to find and in a great location. We felt safe walking the streets, especially since we arrived late at night. We were very impressed with the apartment, it was only a couple of streets away from the metro station and we learnt the system pretty quickly, so within a day felt confident travelling to and from the centre of Rome. Not far at all, just stayed on the A line. Easy. The apartment was spotlessly clean and breakfast was laid out each morning beautifully. The apartment is arty and eclectic and much bigger than in the photos. Personally i loved it. We didn't get much time to hang out there but it has a wonderful feel to it. Like i said, spotlessly clean bathroom and bedroom and very comfortable. Gio not only knows Rome, but knows places to go for a run which I didn't quite manage to do but would have loved to, is an expert in great Italian wines and offers a wine tasting experience. Again we didnt get to try that out but for anyone who loves wine i would consider it. Loved looking at the art on the walls, the interesting Italian furniture and the library of books. I would certainly recommend staying here and one day if I come back to either explore Rome again or run the Rome Marathon, I would love to stay here again. An accommodating and knowledgable person to know in Rome. Oh and speaks brilliant English! Thank you Gio.

  • Gio was very welcoming and kind. She helped us with everything we needed. As previous guests alrady said, her home is very clean and you feel right at home. It is not difficult to get to her apartment when you arrive at Ciampino Airport. Just take the bus to Anagnina Station and then take the Metro to "Colli Albani-Parco Appia Antica". From there its just a 5 minute walk. Not only do i recommend the beautiful apartment, but also Gio, she is a perfect host.

  • Staying at Gio's was great. Breakfast was ready to go every morning and she was very helpful with showing us nice places to eat. Spacy and clean. Recommend to anyone!

I love travelling and I used to be a backpacker. I love discovering other countries and cultures. I also love mine. And i do love the city where I live and was born. This is the reason why I can give you a lot of tips about the real 'ethernal city' (where to have authentic food, where to go jogging, where to find out hidden historical treasures etc.)
