Guest Access

I have a piano which I ask guests NOT play -- mostly because of my neighbors (I do enough of that :-)) but also it is a rental which I am responsible for.

Interaction with Guests

Sometimes I am able to meet you, other times I make sure you have the keys and checking out is a breeze. Depends if I am still in NYC or not :)

The Neighborhood

Coffee shops, restaurants (italian, Japanese, Macro biotic, Mexican ...) local street artist vendors, diverse shopping, bars/lounges, spas, yoga studios, barre studios, jazz clubs, independent book store.

Getting around

Taking the subway is super easy and convenient. You can also take cabs obviously which are easy to find.

  • I was in NYC with my girlfriend for new year's eve. We had a great experience with the apt which was warm, comfortable and very clean. It was like a "nest" during those freezing days. Michelle was also a perfect guest: very nice, friendly and easy to communicate with. We'll be certainly back asap!

  • Michelle's place was wonderful. Beyond perfect location. She was very sweet and accommodating. She even quickly mailed back our forgotten work badge. Thanks Michelle! We hope to stay again soon.

  • We had a wonderful stay! The location is great, just 3 blocks from the heart of Greenwich Village. The neighbourhood was clean and safe. It was great to have a 1 bedroom. One of us could be up and about while the other slept. The bed was comfortable. The apartment was clean and looked freshly painted. There was a full kitchen (typical small size for NYC). The bathroom and shower were clean. Clean sheets and towels were provided. There was an apple TV and projector although we didn't use it. (Too much to do in NYC!!). Free wifi was easy to hook up to. The apartment is on the second floor. We slept with the windows open for a nice breeze, although the normal sounds of a bustling city were present. I slept fine with earplugs. Michelle was prompt and helpful with instructions. Check-in was easy. We picked up keys at a deli across the street and just left the keys in the apartment when we left. There is a subway station literally about 100ft from the door, so there was instant quick access to all of NYC. Times Square or Central Park are about a 15 minute train ride away (at $2.50 a ride, although if you're staying for 3 or more days, I recommend the unlimited 7 day pass for only $30). This was our first BnB experience and all in all it was great! Staying in an apartment, I felt more like a local resident than a tourist. I was able to stay in an apartment for about 60% of what I would have paid for a small one-room hotel room with no kitchen facilities. I highly recommend this place!!!

  • This was a great place to crash for the weekend and just what I needed: conveniently located, cozy but enough room to house myself and a friend, clean and comfortable. It's situated in walking distance to amazing neighborhoods, so great for people who are new or old to NYC. Michelle was a great host--gave me all of the info I needed well ahead of time and communicative when I had questions. Thanks!

  • The ease of booking with Michelle was remarkable! She made our booking hassle free from start to finish and her apartment was absolutely perfect. The apartment is exactly as pictured and the location could not have been better! We will 100% be booking back in with Michelle on our next trip to the big apple.

Thank you so much Michelle you were a brilliant host. See you very soon!!

  • Michelle's place was awesome to stay at! Super clean, and she even had some delicious teas and other snacks in the fridge and pantry that she invited us to enjoy. There was a mild snafu with the key drop off- namely Michelle was out of town and her sister changed meeting locations at the last minute. However, Michelle was amazingly professional about the whole thing, and even picked up the tab for our cab fare. I highly recommend this cute SoHo pad.
