  • We enjoyed a lot our trip, the flat is very good for two people. It (email hidden) by walking to the subway line A which is an express to Manhattan. So we were quickly in the island.
    A supermarket is clothe.
The appartment is quiet and clean, there's a fridge, microwave and a hair dryer. Niya was very nice with us and could help us if necessary.
NYC is amazing and we'd like to come back later.

  • This was great: a characterful apartment in a cool area of Brooklyn (not HIP, just interesting and diverse). It's in a typical brownstone townhouse on a quiet street. It's perfect for Nostrand Ave. subway stop with easy links to Manhattan. It's also REALLY PERFECT for the Long Island Railroad from Jamaica (if you're coming from JFK).

  • We enjoyed our stay. :)

The place was about a ten minute walk from the subway, a couple steps from a bus stop, couple avenues south of some cabs.

It's tucked away in a quiet part of Brooklyn. I wished it was summer when I stayed. I'm sure the walk from the subway station, to the apartment would've been beautiful. There are a lot of trees along the way.

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what's around the neighborhood. We didn't have a chance to explore. We either were on the island or in Williamsburg. The cab fare is around $30.

It's nicely decorated. The frame the bed is sitting on is nice. I've been looking for something since the stay. The upholstery is an interesting blue fabric. Anyway, the place is just roomy enough for two. The art work in the bath is interesting to look at.

Niya was great. Really helpful with directions. Accessible for communication.

  • Niya was very nice and informative. We honestly only saw him when we checked in and when we left, which for us was perfect. We left early n came back late. The location was a bit far from Manhattan but really only about 1/2 hour on the subway. Neighborhood was fine, no problems coming or going. Apartment was very basic, just a couch, some chairs and a bed. Bathroom was a bit small but everything worked. This was our first time using air BNB and we were both happy with having used it. What we paid for a week with Niya we would of paid for 2 days in manhattan. So it is very much worth the value, like I said a lil far from manhattan, very basic ammenities, there is wifi though. If you are looking for a different style of vacation stay, this would be a great idea. For us it was a perfect hub to see manhattan and venture into other parts of Brooklyn. Happy travels.....

  • Niya is a very nice guy and we had a great time staying at his place. He recommended us to buy a weekly metro ticket, which was a good decision even though we stayed only three days. He is a fan of arts and has a great knowledge about things to do in NYC, so he provided us with useful ideas of where to go.
We appreciated the typical old Brooklyn house, as it is located in a residential-only area. Using the metro, Manhattan was very close by (A & C lines). I think it only took 15 minutes to the financial district.
So, if you are searching for a basic accommodation in Brooklyn owned by a great guy, stay at Niya's studio.

  • Where to start in this story? Niya was born to host. His apartment works on 17 different levels. Sensory, Intellectually..and 15 more. The neighborhood, the accommodation, the Brooklyn- were all on high- so much more to do and see- we will be back, gina+ peter
ps- Airbnb really provides service, above and way beyond what is norm. thank you!

  • We stayed at multiple places in Brooklyn and this is the best room: clean, no pests, nice architecture, very quiet, close to express train to Manhattan...

    Niya was nice and helpfull.

  • This was my first experience with AirBnB.
Our host Niya was very nice when he welcomed us, although we arrived a bit later than we thought. He was also very helpful in terms of telling us, where to eat or how to get from A to B.
The apartment was really nice and exactly what the photos show. We really liked staying there and we felt safe.
The normal checkout-time is 10am but we wanted to make use of the last day of our stay, so we asked Niya do the checkout earlier, what also was no problem at all.
Towels, a Hairdryer, a coffee machine and a microwave oven and also maps/travel guides for New York are available for use.
All in all a great experience!

  • I loved this space. I was really worried that we would be too far from Manhattan and the city but we weren't. Niya's place is very close to the bus and train lines. We got most every place in 30 minutes or less. And Niya is an excellent host. I would rent here again.
