Interaction with guests
This is our home and we work during the day, but are present and available during the evenings and weekends should you have any questions or need recommendations. You can easily contact us by phone or text. We have lived in the neighborhood for over 12 years, and are very knowledgeable about all it has to offer.
Cobble Hill is a charming Brooklyn neighborhood that is centrally located in NYC.
The apartment is nestled on a quiet street between Smith and Court Streets, the two main commercial streets of the neighborhood. On them you'll find lots of great restaurants of every variety, coffee shops, outdoor cafes, bookstores, movie theaters, boutiques, galleries, bars and all the necessary convenience stores. The neighborhood is known for its beautiful historic brownstones and tree-lined streets.
The apartment is a short walk to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM to the locals), the new Barclay Center, Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Promenade (best views of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty), and Downtown Brooklyn.
Manhattan is 10 minutes by subway, and the subway entrance is literally steps from our front door at the Bergen stop of the F and G subway lines. Taxis are also readily available on Smith Street.
Other things to note
We have a small dog. She is very friendly, well-behaved and lovable.

We ask that you wash and dry any kitchen items immediately after use - there's plenty of detergent to wash up or you can easily place them in the dishwasher. We recycle in our home.
We're easy going so you can come and go as you please, we'd just ask you keep the noise down if you're coming home in the late night hours during the week as we are up and off to work early!
We'd also prefer that you don't use the washing machine and dryer after 11pm and before 7am, just to keep the noise down.
We do not charge a deposit, but Guests and their invitees are responsible for all Covered Losses, as defined in the Airbnb Host Guarantee.

We're a friendly outgoing couple who loves entertaining and meeting new people. New York has been our home since 2005 and we like to share our knowledge of the city with out-of-town friends and visiting guests. Don works in the commercial real estate field and Chris is entrenched in the world of advertising and healthcare technology. We are both originally from the Midwest and have traveled throughout the US and Europe, with a little Central and South America thrown in for good measure. We have a Norfolk Terrier who is a trained and registered therapy dog. She is very well behaved, mild-mannered and does not shed.
