Cobble Hill is a charming Brooklyn neighborhood that is centrally located in NYC. Manhattan is 10 minutes by subway, and the subway entrance is literally steps from our front door at the Bergen stop of the F and G subway lines.

The apartment is nestled on a quiet street between Smith and Court Streets, the two main commercial streets of the neighborhood. On them you'll find lots of great restaurants of every variety, coffee shops, outdoor cafes, bookstores, movie theaters, boutiques, galleries, bars and all the necessary convenience stores. The neighborhood is known for its beautiful historic brownstones and tree lined streets.

The apartment is a short walk to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM to the locals), the new Barclay Center, Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Promenade (best views of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty), and Downtown Brooklyn. Yellow cabs are easy to find on Smith and Court Streets.

We have a small dog. She is very friendly, well-behaved and lovable.

  • Chris and Don have a wonderful home in a very convenient location. They were most easy to work with and provided detailed information about everything: when we could get into the apartment, how to enter and get settled, what they expected and what we could expect, what to do nearby and how to go there. The apartment is beautifully and comfortably decorated and our space was nearly perfect. We hope to make their apartment our "home away from home' when we visit Brooklyn in the future. Thank you Chris and Don for a great stay!

  • Chris and Don are pros at this! Their home is beautifully decorated and welcoming. The guest room is on the lower level, tucked away next to the garden. I found it very quiet, cozy and comfortable. I really appreciated all the extras touches such as bottles of water and chocolates left by the bedside, upscale toiletries and soap in the fabulous modern bathroom, and a large binder chock full of all kinds of things to see/do in Brooklyn.

  • I really had a great stay at Chris and Don's Homey townhouse. The house is spacious and really comfortable. And the location is just perfect for exploring Brooklyn and 50ft from the Subway station.
    Greatly recommended.

  • These guys are congenial, meticulous, helpful. The place is right on an MTA line to Manhattan, and the street next to them is filled with cheap and good restaurants. I'd stay here again, easily. They were good-natured about me locking myself out of my bedroom (I hit a push-button lock by accident, the only guest they've had that did that).

  • We stayed at Chris and Don's place for about a week.
We had a really great time. Chris and Don are really nice!
Even though they were not there on our first days everything was prepared to welcome us. We liked a lot the welcome sign they made for us in the hall!!!
They even have a little book with restaurants and things to do in the neighborhood which was really nice.
We highly recommend you this place and hope you will have a great vacation.

  • Chris and Don are wonderful hosts. It is a great house and the room is cosy and very comfortable. They have taken great care and attention to detail to make sure you have a nice stay. The ensuite bathroom is particularly nice. The neighborhood is great with loads of nice restaurants, shops and cinemas. I loved the Cobble Hill cinema that is just 2 mins walk away.

  • We really enjoyed our visit to Chris & Don's place. The location is amazing (very accessible), the bed was great (superb linen) and the best shower in NYC!

Chris and Don are super hosts and little Sissy is equally charming. Their place is beautifully decorated and they have really made provision for out of towners who need to explore the city (little brochures, great wifi, etc).

Thanks again for making our trip special and hope to see you again.

We're a friendly outgoing couple who loves entertaining and meeting new people. New York has been our home since 2005 and we like to share our knowledge of the city with out-of-town friends and visiting guests. Don works in the commercial real estate field and Chris is entrenched in the world of advertising and healthcare technology. We are both originally from the Midwest and have traveled throughout the US and Europe, with a little Central America thrown in for good measure. We have a Norfolk Terrier who is a trained and registered therapy dog. She is very well behaved, mild-mannered and does not shed.
