PLEASE READ WHOLE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING ME.
Huge apartment with lots of plants and 14' tall ceilings in Pilsen. My place is perfect for folks that are traveling with lots of gear that they want to keep inside rather than out in their vehicle. Families must have kids that love dogs and no little ones under the age of 10! I don't have a T.V. but I do have a lot of board games.
I used to host two different listings in this space but I have decided to switch it up and offer the entire front of the apartment as one listing. You will have 2 private bedrooms.
One bedroom has a queen sized bed and small closet.
The other bedroom has a full sized lofted bed and a extra long single sized bed underneath.
The futons in the living room are both a full sized bed when not in couch form. These are very comfortable for groups of 4!
I live in a private bedroom in the rear of the apartment with my own entrance. I will be sharing the bathroom and kitchen with you. I will keep things tidy but expect you to do the same.
My dog Puck will bark every time you come home but he is all talk. I will not tolerate guests that are scared of dogs. Please find another place to stay if you are the least bit shy about hanging out with Puck!
You should definitely stay here if McCormick Place is your destination in Chicago. 5min. Uber.
I charge $59/ night for solo travelers and ask for $10 more per person up to 4 total. So 2 guests is $69/night, 3 guests is $79/night, 4 guests is $89/night.
**FYI I had to ditch the couch in the pictures due to it falling apart. I'll have to update the pictures soon. **
Full access to everywhere except the back bedroom. I live there.
Interaction with Guests
I will be in and out so if you are home I'll make nice! Ask me anything you like, I've gotten pretty good at hosting after 3 years.
Fun neighborhood. Lots of good food and entertainment. Art gallery open studios every month on the 2nd Friday is less than a block away.
Less than 2 minute walk to buses or bike sharing station. Less than 10 minute walk to the nearest train station which gets you to any train you want in less than another 10 minutes.
Other Things to Note
I have one party on the second Friday of every month. If you are staying here on one of those Fridays you can join in on the fun or not, but I hope you will!
Please do not bring anyone else back to the apartment. Keep tidy in the kitchen but feel free to use all of the gear. Make yourselves at home!
We had such a wonderful experience with Greg! He made us feel right at home and was helpful throughout the whole trip. The beds and rooms would comfy, homey, and clean. His dog was a sweetheart and a great guard dog. All around great experience and will definitely stay here again for our next trip to Chicago.
He greeted me at the door and showed me around. Big place in a very interesting upcoming neighborhood. It was a decent economical way to stay in Chicago.
Staying with Greg was an amazing experience. Greg was very good about communicating with me, checking on when I will be arriving and making sure he had the place ready for my arrival. Greg made sure to meet me and my friends for check in, something that is very much appreciated. Meeting Greg in person was also a pleasure. Greg was very easy to get along with and gave us all the information we needed. The place itself was colorful, spacious, and very comfortable. Staying with Greg definitely made my visit to Chicago fun and enjoyable. Puck was also a pleasure to have around.
Gregory was a nice host... The apartment was ver y well decorated and clean. We loved gregorys table game and dog... The neighbourhood was the best, safe, with cool night life and close to downtown...
Greg is an awesome host, easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to be helpful. You can't beat the value-for-money of this place. A really cool space. Very close to bus links and about 10 min walk to subway station. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cool, comfortable, affordable place to crash in Chicago.
Greg was very welcoming from the moment I arrived! The place is beautiful with lots of natural light, close to CTA train and bus, and some really neat vintage shops on 18th street just a few blocks away.
Overall I felt very safe and comfortable staying here. As a solo female traveler that is always important! Thanks for the hospitality Greg!
Great place to stay! It is very close to the city center and the place is amazing with plenty of plants (look at the ceiling in the kitchen!) and very spacious and comfortable. We did not get the see Greg very much but he is very welcoming. Shame we did not meet his dog... Thanks again, Greg!
