PLEASE READ WHOLE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING ME.
Huge apartment with lots of plants and 14' tall ceilings in Pilsen. My place is perfect for folks that are traveling with lots of gear that they want to keep inside rather than out in their vehicle. Families must have kids that love dogs and no little ones under the age of 10! I don't have a T.V. but I do have a lot of board games.
I used to host two different listings in this space but I have decided to switch it up and offer the entire front of the apartment as one listing. You will have 2 private bedrooms.
One bedroom has a queen sized bed and small closet.
The other bedroom has a full sized lofted bed and a extra long single sized bed underneath.
The futons in the living room are both a full sized bed when not in couch form. These are very comfortable for groups of 4!
I live in a private bedroom in the rear of the apartment with my own entrance. I will be sharing the bathroom and kitchen with you. I will keep things tidy but expect you to do the same.
My dog Puck will bark every time you come home but he is all talk. I will not tolerate guests that are scared of dogs. Please find another place to stay if you are the least bit shy about hanging out with Puck!
You should definitely stay here if McCormick Place is your destination in Chicago. 5min. Uber.
I charge $69/ night for solo travelers and ask for $10 more per person up to 4 total. So 2 guests is $79/night, 3 guests is $89/night, 4 guests is $99/night.
**FYI I had to ditch the couch in the pictures due to it falling apart. I'll have to update the pictures soon. **
Full access to everywhere except the back bedroom. I live there.
Interaction with Guests
I will be in and out so if you are home I'll make nice! Ask me anything you like, I've gotten pretty good at hosting after 3 years.
Fun neighborhood. Lots of good food and entertainment. Art gallery open studios every month on the 2nd Friday is less than a block away.
Less than 2 minute walk to buses or bike sharing station. Less than 10 minute walk to the nearest train station which gets you to any train you want in less than another 10 minutes.
Other Things to Note
I have one party on the second Friday of every month. If you are staying here on one of those Fridays you can join in on the fun or not, but I hope you will!
Please do not bring anyone else back to the apartment. Keep tidy in the kitchen but feel free to use all of the gear. Make yourselves at home!
We were greeted by the host and given a run down of the space, and how to get where we needed to go. We felt very welcome in the space and it is in a really cool building. The neighborhood is really cool. I wish we had had more time to explore the neighborhood. His dog Puck is a sweetie, and the bedrooms were great. We were traveling as a couple plus a friend so it worked out well. My hubby and our traveling companion are both game board fanatics and they enjoyed learning about Gregory's game. Gregory did a great job of balancing giving us space and interacting with us. We would definitely stay there again next time we're in Chicago.
greg is a super nice and very welcoming guy! the place is clean and exactly as described in the description. his cool apartment was a great place to come home to after you spent the whole day in the pressing summer heat. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone coming to chicago!
Greg's apartment is unique: it's a huge space in a converted brewery with three double and two single beds! We loved the space and the excellent value for money. We were less impressed by the cleanliness (hair in the bath tub, insects in the sink) but Greg's winning personality and the proximity to downtown (only a ~ USD 10 Uber ride) made it a great stay overall.
Greg was very enthusiastic, he came to pick us up at the train station as this was our first time navigating the city of Chicago and it's public transportation system. The location of the apartment is very central, it is 20 minutes from downtown. In order to get there, you need to take the bus and then the train which I found was very close. The neighborhood has a lot to offer, so sad we didn't have more time to explore it. It was a bit noisy while we were staying there because they were fixing the apartment upstairs (obviously not Greg's fault). The apartment was adequate, it was spacious but perhaps could have been a bit more well kept.
Logement très sympa, esprit loft, bien climatisé et surtout avec 2 chiens adorables (1 normalement) !
Bien situé pas trop loin d'une station de métro.
Merci Gregory j'espère que tu apprécieras le Cheval Noir !
