This is a guest suite in a private home. Although the home is a work in progress, the guest space is clean and comfortable. The suite has a private entrances just off the main foyer . Space features 1 bedroom with queen size bed, living room with twin bed, private bathroom, wi-fi and a mini refrigerator.
The house is located in a wooded neighborhood 5 minutes from the village of Rhinebeck, 7 minutes to the Hudson River and Amtrack station. Conveniently located to Red Hook, Rhinecliff Bridge, skiing and much more! Rhinebeck is the home of the oldest inn in America, as well as of many shopping and dining attractions, many of which were visited by the guests of Chelsea Clinton's wedding. Rhinebeck has some of the finest dining in Hudson Valley!
Enjoy the area year-round, with fall foliage, fairs and festivals, the CIA ('Culinary Institute of America'), skiing at Windham or Hunter Mountains, Bard College and it summer music festival, the Omega Institute, Aerodrome air shows, wineries, spas, golf, boating, the FDR Library and Museum, Vanderbilt estate, Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill cottage, and other historic sites.
Quiet, private. Delyce us available when you need her, but otherwise keeps to herself. Sometimes heard the kids, but it was not a bother at all. It's in a lovely neighborhood, in the woods. Fresh air!
Very nice space in a lovely area. I would advise having access to a car if you stay here as it is quite a hike to the nearest town and Bard College.
Great location, comfortable beds, pretty 2-bedroom suite. The amenities were lovely and the suite was well-furnished. And the location was perfect for us at just a few minutes from Bard College, Rhinebeck, and Red Hook.
Delyse's suite was a perfect choice for 3 knitters off to the Dutchess Co. Fairgrounds (a 5 minute drive) for the Wool Festival. We enjoyed our brief encounters with her lovely young family. Delyse and her husband were great hosts, available with local information when needed. Their home is nestled off a country road bordered by trees in their Fall glory.
Absolutely loved my experience staying with Delyse and her family. The guest house is private, quiet, and all around perfect. Thanks so much!!
Delyse's two room suite was PERFECT for our needs. A friend and I only stayed one night for a wedding in the area, but I would definitely stay here again. We were warmly greeted and showed the space. Delyse's family was there, so it was convenient to have a separate entrance when we got in late from the wedding - it felt more like our own separate cottage.
It's a beautiful area and only a few miles from Mead Orchards, so we decided to go on a spontaneous peach and apple picking adventure before heading back to the city. I'd recommend it to anyone.
We had a great time in Rhinebeck and the surrounding areas. This was a very convenient location to explore from and come back to. Having our own entrance made the place feel like our own, and the super responsive hosts made reserving and arriving at their home (a few hours after we planned to) very easy indeed. It was our first AirBnB experience, and it was a very good one.
The suite is adorable, very clean and simple, but extremely comfortable. The 2 room set up is very spacious and allows for both bedroom and living room type areas that are enjoyable to hang out in. Delyse and her family were very accomodating with directions, check in and check out time, and recommendations in the town of Rhinebeck. The area is beautiful and this spot is about 5-10 minutes from all the restaurants and shops in town, but you'll definitely want a car to get around.
Delyse has adorable children and dogs, I've stayed at several airbnb's, and while this wasn't the most private as her family was around most of the weekend, it didn't bother us at all and was still very quite and relaxing. (I only wished we could have gotten to hang out with the puppies!)
I chose this site because of its proximity to Omega Institute; I was there for a 5 day workshop. The 20 minute drive to Omega every morning was easy, though I would recommend a GPS to make your way along the back roads. Most importantly, I saved more than 50% off the Omega single accommodation fee, which was still a significant savings even when factoring in the commuter fee.
Delyse and her family were gracious hosts. They were clearly available for any request, but they weren't in any way intrusive.
In fact, having a separate entrance gave me a great deal of privacy to go and come without having to walk through the family space. This was a huge plus.
The space was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The extra sitting area provide plenty of room to set up my computer and spread out my papers. Had I been there with my fiancee, this would have allowed me to do some work without disturbing her.
The only significant drawback was some early morning road noise on the road that runs by the front of the house; this is where the suite is located. I'm a very light sleeper, so the few early morning trucks definitely disturbed me. Since there was no air conditioning, I had to leave the window open get some fresh air. On the other hand, noise from the family and young kids did not present any problems.
Delyse's 2 room suite was very clean and spacious. Since the suite has a private entrance we felt very comfortable coming in and out of the place without feeling like we were disturbing the family which was a big plus for us. Would def recommend.
