Interaction with guests

Interact with other guests as much as you want. Your private room will give you privacy and space when you want it. Communal areas are clean, comfortable, and welcoming, if you feel like getting to know some other travelers this is the place to meet.

The neighborhood

The Villlas is located in an old family farming neighborhood. The neighborhood is mixed between vacation rentals (closer to the villas) and Tico homes. We personally know almost all of our neighbors and feel that the area is safe and well kept.

Steven was very accommodating and helpful. He had many suggestions and tips for us during our stay. He was always very easy to get in touch with. The location is in a family-friendly, rural, residential area about a 10 minute walk to the town of Quepos. I am a female who was traveling with two other females and the three of us walked to the town alone at night and felt very safe. The kitchen is communal. There is a maid who will do a large bag of laundry for $10.

Great place with relaxed vibe. Steven and his staff are very friendly and down-to-earth people. Nicely secluded, 15 minute walk to Quepos. Wake up to birds chirping every day. Nice terrace with hammocks - great way to unwind in the evening. Room was stuffy/muggy, but I'm sure that was due to the weather. We just had to keep the door and window opened alot.

I had a very positive experience staying at Villa Jacqueline. Steven was very accommodating from the first moment. The location is very peaceful and quite serene with beautiful views from the terraces. There is plenty of opportunity for social interaction on the spacious terraces or at the outdoor pool. Breakfast is also delicious and the helpers are very pleasant and friendly. 10/10

We had a great time at villas jacquelina. Steven was extremely helpful from the start, he asked what we had planned and pointed us to a great local restaurant as well as a great spot for a surfing lesson. He even took a picture of us next to our car so that someone was waiting for us at the beach once we got there. The breakfast served there was classic Costa Rican with fruit and rice and beans (although the menu varies by day) and was a great value.

Our stay was nice, the hostel has a young backpacker vibe. The breakfast (extra charge) was also very good. Steven was very nice and laid back about everything, and Phillip was also very helpful. If you're looking for a backpacker's hostel, this one's great, though not really close to anything.
