This is shared apartment, it is a guest house, no one is living there but if there is anything you can always contact me my mobile is (phone number hidden) or you can send me message on air bnb.
You have to clean up after your self in the kitchen and the bathroom, Please do not leave any towels on the floor, put them in the basket.
You have to clean after your self in the kitchen as soon as you are finished using it, you do not want to clean up after other people and they do not want to clean up after you.
If you get in late you have to be quiet so you will not disturb the other guests.
Rosa's apartment is perfect. We moved in as a group of 12 so we had the whole place to ourselves. It is located right on the main street, next to a lot of restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. Inside, everything was provided, and although we didn't get to meet Rosa, our stay was great!
We had a great time during our stay at Rosa's place. The apartment is very well-located, surrounded by many restaurants, grocery stores, and little boutique shops, it's so easy to get around. You also get to meet other world travels and share their traveling adventures.
The room was comfortable and warm and the guesthouse is centrally located. Was in town for Airwaves and all the venue were walking distance.
Only drawback the noise from other guests: the rooms are disposed around a common space and you can hear that. Not a problem if you spend the night out anyway ;)
The apartment was directly on one of the main streets which was very nice. Tons of bars, restaurants, super market are in walking distance. Even to the coast it was only a 5-10 minutes walk.
The apartment itself was ok. The room was just tiny but that was all we needed. We had fresh towels and basic bathroom supplies.
It seems like one person lives there on a long-term booking. We never saw him but his personal belongings were everywhere in the kitchen area. He didn't clean up after himself and left dirty dishes in the kitchen for two days straight. Not Rosas fault though
Overall it was a good place to start our Iceland adventure.
This is the best AirBnB experience I've ever had. Rosa's space is clean, modern, and relaxing. In my 25 night stay she upgraded her already fine bedding and installed new light fixtures and windows. It was like a boutique hotel. Comfortable beds and a quiet area meant sleeping was easy and luxurious. The bathrooms are fully upgraded and the available washer/dryer were greatly appreciated.
Rosa herself, and her husband Peter, were welcoming and informative. I probably caused them to take longer to accomplish their tasks, but they always were ready for a conversation. The other guests were invariably respectful of noise levels and keeping the kitchen clean.
There is no better location for a stay in Reykjavik. Look out the window and you can see if the grocery store is busy. 5 minutes and you're at either the waterfront or Hallgrímskirkja. There are dozens of restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk. A 15 minute walk takes you to the heart of downtown, with the parliament buildings, art museum, and banks, and city parks.
Rosa went above and beyond, even enlisting her sister to knit me a custom-made Icelandic wool sweater. I have already made plans to stay here again.
We didn't see Rosa but everything was well explained so we had no problems. We had room no. 4. This was right above a Restaurant so we had lots of noise until apprx. 11 p.m. (in the week, not at the Weekend). And we didn't have any windows to open in our room for fresh air. Apart from this it was a nice flat with a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms.
Rosa and her husband are very nice people. The Apartment is great, because its in a good location (city) and you can reach many attractions in Reykjavik by feet.
