  • I had a fantastic stay at Pedro & Ro's with my boyfriend. Pedro has a great knowledge of Setubal & recommended some places for us to visit during our stay. The apartment is in an easy location for walking into town. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts & had some nice conversations with Pedro & Ro. We would absolutely recommend & hope to cross paths with these wonderful hosts again some day.

Hi Justine and Tom, I´m sure we will cross paths again. In Portugal, in Rio de Janeiro, in Melbourne, in...
Greetings, have a very nice trip (around the world...)

  • Pedro is great host how likes to get to know his guests. His wife and him shared wonderful breakfasts with us, included in the price. Only negative is that there is a small apartment that can feel a bit crowded.

  • We spent 2 amazing days in Setubal thanks to Pedro and Ro. They are very sweet and welcoming people. You can feel that their main interest is to share time with people and discover other cultur which is something rare nowadays. We haven't planned to spend this 2 days in Setubal but we don't regret it. Besides the nice welcoming of Pedro Setubal is a great city with nice beaches and nature closely. I would recommend to stay with them to everyone whose interested into sharing experience and time with interesting people. Many thanks !!!

    Response from Pedro:

I´m glad that you where happy here in Setúbal and with us. See you next time.

  • I stayed 3 nights with Pedro and Rô and came back to them for another 3 nights. because they really are great hosts and very sympathetic people.
For breakfast a homemade cake was served aside homemade jams and tastefully breads, it made me feel directly at home. Pedro knows a lot about the nice town of Setubal and Rô showed me the 'olaria' where she learns about ceramics. It gave me the opportunity to have a small stage to learn how to use the turning wheel.
Beaches are within reach and you can eat delicious fresh fish in the town which is really around the corner !

  • Pedro and Ro were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were met from the station, and they even walked us into town to show us where to catch buses to the beach etc. We spent most of the next two days at the beautiful beaches of the arrabida which are only a short bus ride away, and where the water is completely calm and clear for swimming. Setubal itself has a lot more to it than initially meets the eye. There are some lovely little streets and squares, and amazing seafood restaurants -much cheaper and better food than we had in Lisbon!
We had a delicious breakfast with Pedro and Ro, trying home-made jams and preserves, portuguese honeys etc, and it was lovely to chat to them and hear some of their stories. The room was very clean and comfortable, and although the flat is small it felt completely private and peaceful. We felt completely at home, and really enjoyed meeting such a lovely and interesting couple.

  • You can tell that Pedro and Ro are experienced hosts. Pedro picked us up from the station (don't be put off for his preference for caps lock when emphasizing something in his communication) and led to the simple appartment, with towels and hotel soap laid out for us. There was a specially baked cake, and the breakfast the next morning was great. They took great care of us (even though the age difference made things slightly awkward sometimes) in everything we wanted. The next day we took their tour of Arrabida: very interesting and adventerous (they are great hikers and rock climbers). Also their love for each other is very sweet. And Setubal is a surprisingly charming town, relatively undiscovered (go the indoor market!) with great beaches and nature next door. Would definitely recommend a stay at Pedro's to any friend visiting Lisbon or its surroundings.

Hi, we are Rô and Pedro and we enjoy traveling, reading, theater, drink wine (moderately), nature, hiking and climbing, and especially to be with friends! For us, having a guest at home is, above all, have the opportunity to meet new people! Pedro is a Telecommunications engineer (he quitted the profession years ago ...), writer and scriptwriter (videos and games on CD-ROM). Ro is a biologist and potter. Rô is from Rio de Janeiro, but LOVES Portugal, Pedro is Portuguese, lived in several countries, but LOVES to Rio de Janeiro. So, they decided to live in the two countries: they alternate residence between Rio de Janeiro and Setúbal.
