Romeo/Juliet balcony and terrace, stunning views in all directions, unspoiled nature overlooking the Nicasio Reservoir. 45 minutes drive from San Fransisco and the wine country. Horse back riding. The space
Danehill is a horse breeding facility (Danish warmbloods) with stables and riding arenas. Natural horsemanship lessons available for beginners as well as advanced riders. "Dancing with horses". Somatic Therapy, Massages, and Breathwork offered. Gorgeous pool. Tree house. 4 double guest rooms (one king size and 3 queen size beds). Price is per room (Additional guests including children extra). 2 guest bathrooms. Private terraces. Helicopter pad. Trails (made by deer and horses) all over the property and/or along the lake for walking or jogging. (takes 2-3 hours). Areas for yoga and meditation. Fabulous sunrises and sunsets.

Guests have full access to the estate including pool area, living quarters, and entire 25 acres of countryside- see photos.

NO KITCHEN ACCESS- Breakfast is included with the room fee, and we offer guests additional meals and services at an additional rate. There are also many restaurants a short driving distance away.

During your stay
The host - nicknamed Karin from Marin - lives on property. She enjoys entertaining and creates delicious meals with beautiful table settings, and serves a European style large breakfast (see photo) which is included in the price for the room. Please contact Danehill Manor for special arrangement such as gourmet dinners and maybe special "get away weekend" packages, e.g. including sunset drinks and snacks, maybe local oysters and champagne? served on your private terrace on the lake side or around the huge fire pit in the pool area. Danehill Manor is a retreat and guests have expressed they feel they have come to their own private resort. Humans, horses and dogs live together in a unique, stress free atmosphere. You may bring your pet, dog or horse, ( no cats, rats or other animals) which we have luxury accommodations for as well - call for pricing. We also offer horsemanship lessons on our beautiful Danish warmblood horses - or maybe you want to learn to become a great partner with your own horse? This to be arranged in advance and paid directly to the host. If you want complete privacy, we can also arrange the breakfast served in your room. We wake you up (you tell us at what time you want) with a cup of freshly ground coffee or tea in your room so you can enjoy the peaceful way of starting your day.

Nicasio is a secret gem - packed away in a beautiful valley - only 10-20 minutes drive from Marin suburbs or Point Reyes Station which offer lovely farmers markets, locally grown organic produce, fabulous cheeses and great dining opportunities. A hike out in Point Reyes National Seashore with wildlife, elks, deer, birds - and seasonally seals and whales by the beach. Or maybe just stay "home" at Danehill Manor and take a hike on trails around on our 25 acres of paradise. Recently I saw a whole school of 2-300 dolphins close to the beach at Limantour while riding there. A kayak trip on Tomales Bay (contact Point Reyes Outdoors for reservations)to isolated beaches that can only be accessed from the water has been a favorite of several guest. Natural horsemanship lessons (dancing with horses) for beginners as well as advanced riders. Biking. Oyster Farms. A vacation can be a lovely combination of nature and city adventures, fun and interesting - even educational - for a family - as well as a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for grown ups. Danehill's host can guide you to make the stay at Danehill Manor a special and memorable experience for all. A visit to the nearby San Fransisco Bay, Tiburon, Angel Island, Sausalito. Or for a more woodsy experience, Muir woods is close by, with the giant sequoia trees are a favorite destinations for many.
