The Space

Sorry but we don't book the apartment for Photo shoots or film production.

Note: This is not a "luxury" apartment.

Entire Private One Bedroom Penthouse Apartment on Prospect Park West with gorgeous skyline views and located directly across the street from the subway entrance and the stunning, dynamic and historic Prospect Park.
Tastefully furnished, private, quiet and comfortable one bedroom apartment. Amenities include queen sized bed, wifi, cable, surround sound, down comforters, plush towels, fully equipped kitchen, leather furniture, and private terrace with view of the Statue of Liberty and the Empire state building. Bathroom with tub and shower. Ample closet and dresser space. Apartment is spotlessly clean.

Walk-up fifth floor apartment with no elevator. This means four full flights of stairs. Worth the climb, the apartment offers beautiful views of the Manhattan Skyline, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn. Being the only apartment on the top floor also minimizes city, building and neighbor noise.

Located directly on beautiful Prospect Park in the heart of prime Park Slope, Brooklyn. Park Slope was just named New York Magazine's Best Neighborhood in the city and offers exciting and extensive dining and shopping options within several blocks in either direction. There is farmer's market at the entrance of the park (just outside the door) on Wednesdays from May - November. There is a historic movie theater, dry cleaner, laundromat, coffee house, bakery, butcher, bodega, sushi, Thai, Chinese, pizza, bagel shop, Italian specialty market and pharmacy all within a 1-4 minute walk from the apartment. Across the street is Prospect Park, a 585-acre urban oasis and the masterpiece of famed landscape architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who also designed Central Park. It features a 90-acre meadow, 60-acre lake, forest, beautiful 3+ mile loop trail, waterfall, the nation’s first urban Audubon Center, the Prospect Park Zoo, Skating Rink and the Celebrate Brooklyn! Performing Arts Festival Band Shell.

Subway: Entrance to the F and G Subway at 15th street/Prospect Park is literally across the street. It is less than a 30 minute ride on the F train into Manhattan, which also services the popular Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill & Dumbo neighborhoods.

Apartment's private terrace with views of Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, includes patio seating, and stereo.
The kitchen includes ample cooking utensils, full size fridge & freezer, range, oven, microwave, pots, pans, coffee press, basic spices, serving necessities and more.

The bedroom has a NEW queen size bed with down comforter several pillows and crisp linens. There is also a full size air mattress available for use in the living room. Additional charge for third guest.

Free parking is available on the street. Cars must be moved once or twice a week as posted on the street. Garages are also located nearby.

Our apartment makes for a wonderful home base whether traveling for work or pleasure and we would love to share some recommendations on how best to enjoy our exciting neighborhood.

  • Such a lovely and perfectly-located apartment! My husband and I, along with our 16-yr-old son, spent a long weekend enjoying Steven and Lauren's art, views, and well-stocked kitchen. They left us detailed notes about recommended restaurants and stores in the neighborhood, how to use the electronics, and generally stayed in touch in case we had questions. The walk-up helped us burn calories to eat more NYC bagels, sushi and pizza!

  • This is a beautiful little apartment in a great neighborhood. The stairs are steep and long, so if you need to carry a lot of luggage up and down, it can get tricky. The terrace is a nice touch on a warm day, we were having our breakfasts there. It is a perfect apartment for 2, but a bit too small for 3 people. One more thing: it is located on the last floor, and is somehow difficult to locate at first. All in all, it is a nice place, and we would be happy to come back.

  • Had a great time at Steven & Laurens Prospect Park apartment. Neighborhood is calm with some great restaurants (and one terrible thai place :)) and the subway is super close to the apartment. 20-25 mins ride will get you to either Manhattan or Williamsburg.

During our stay we where lucky with the weather and could enjoy the terrace both for some sunbathing and evening beer.

Everything was nice and clean except for some missing extra sheets but Steven handled it quickly.

  • Steven and Lauren were on top of communication at all times. The apartment was a great Brooklyn location and well-described in the ad. We would stay there again. Four flights of stairs were an authentic walk-up experience.

  • Though this apartment is, indeed, a hike up several sets of narrow stairs (a required climb made most clear in the hosts' description), the apartment is well worth the effort. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, the living room is comfortable and extremely well-appointed, and the bedroom serviceable, with plenty of closet and drawer space. True to the picture, there is a cozy and charming ambiance to this place that derives from the tasteful and arty decor, oversize leather furniture, and atmospheric lighting. The sitting room has the added benefit of views of the Manhattan skyline, and of the Statue of Liberty, from the sofa and chair, respectively; a visual amenity that really cannot be overstated. During our stay, it was also warm enough to enjoy the terrace for a quiet and restful Sunday afternoon, where we could enjoy our son's good company on his 24th birthday in a relaxed and visually stimulating environment.
The neighborhood is wonderful, the Park affords a real experience of the Brooklyn community, and the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden are two sites on the must-see list. Our hosts' arrangements were seamless, their recommendations that we took advantage of were excellent, and their penthouse is most definitely a place we hope to return to. The Prospect Park West Penthouse Apt really exceeded our expectations, which is not a common occurrence for us these days.

  • We spent three nights in the Penthouse apartment. Everything was exactly as in the photos. I think the ourdoor space would be fantastic in the warmer months. The apartment was very clean and we loved the comfy seating in the living room. The bed felt great at the end of our full days. I can't say enough only that it made me want to move to Park Slope! Thank you Steve and Lauren for your attention.
