Steven and Lauren: it's your home, comfy, and I appreciate you trusting us with it. You described your place accurately. And no doubt, the private patio adds a lot in the spring, summer, and fall. We went for a month in the winter and missed that experience-- and felt a bit cramped without access to outdoors.
Three favorite things:
1) Very Quiet; never heard other people in the building
2) Location: perfect for L and G line on cold mornings and Prospect Park
3) very hot water and water pressure was great.
Three least favorite things:
1) Really wasn't a posh penthouse; well-worn building and accoutrement.
2) Mattress was exceedingly soft
3) 79 Stairs
For a weekend or a few days, I would recommend as a great location to experience Brooklyn. Clean, zero insect life, close to 7th Avenue restaurants.... For a month, well..... Did I mentioned the steps!?
Very nice place. Everything was fine. Very clean. Nice touches like good books to enjoy.
We had a great time. Steven and Lauren were quick to respond to a couple of questions we had. This was the first time we tried airbnb and if typical experiences are like this we wouldn't hesitate to use it again in the future.
It felt a bit pricey for what it was, but maybe that's just the cost of being in Park Slope across the street from Prospect Park(?) Which both, make it worth it. Nonetheless, the hosts were very attentive and our stay was very nice. (But beware, if you have a lot of hair, the water pressure is next to nothing!)
Apartment was very nice but had a very strong Pinesol smell that was unpleasant and had to be aired out.
Loved the view but the four flights of stairs got a bit tiring. Great area and neighborhood.
During our stay at Steven & Lauren's place we didn't meet our host so we did a self check-in and check-out based on the manual from the site. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood and has a great location just next to the F & G Line. However it may not that convenient for huge luggages to be carried away since there is no elevator. And we encountered something didn't expect that on one late night when we were about to turn ourselves in, a cockroach coming up from nowhere kind of freaked us out.
