This apartment, decorated with taste and attention to detail, is located in the area where the gladiators used to train before fighting: the windows offer some stunning views of the Coliseum, the giant structure so full of history.
The 85m2 apartment is capable of accommodating 7 guests and is situated on the first floor of a traditional building (with a lift) in the heart of the Eternal City. The main room is a bright, spacious and elegantly decorated living room featuring a double sofa-bed, an LCD television, a DVD player, a Wi-Fi internet connection, and a dining table and chairs. On the left hand side you will find a modern, fully-equipped kitchen. From the living room you can reach the bedroom that contains a double bed and the loft featuring a single bed. The second bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a large bathroom with a bathtub. There is also a second bathroom with a spacious box shower.
And now... 10 good reasons to choose my flat!
1.because from the moment you close the door of the flat to the one you touch the stones of Coliseum with your hands it takes 2 minutes and 58 seconds exactly!
2.because there is a supermarket Carrefour next door, opened every day of the week;
3.because the flat has been just renovated;
4.because the area is perfect for tourists: only in the same street there are 10 restaurants, wine cellars and bistrot, for all tastes and all pockets;
5.because I can bet you could not find in the area another house that can host 7 people, that has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, at that quality and at that price.
6.because the fans placed in the rooms are more beautiful, more effective and less polluting than air conditioned;
7.because it is in the centre of Roman night life, but very silent, thanks to special good windows;
8.because after a few days opening and closing the windows watching Coliseum, you will feel like Russel Crowe in "The Gladiator";
9.because the neighbors are very nice people;
10.because after reading again this list I have decided that sooner or later I will return living in it!
From Oct 1 - 30, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
The host welcomed us personally, showed us the apartment and helped us find parking. The apartment was exactly as shown and advertised - spacious and clean and in a great location. The host could not have done more.
Massimo was a wonderful host. He even arranged transportation for our family of 5 from the airport to his apartment. He greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. The apartment location was fabulous. Easy a cess to the metro. The grocery store next to the apartment was fantastic. It was so convenient. We enjoyed being able to walk by the coliseum every morning and evening. We loved being serinated by the accordion player performing at the restaurants below.
The location was fantastic - close to transport, supermarket, obviously the Colosseum and much more. The apartment was just as described, it is a wonderful apartment, spacious and very clean. The only draw back was that being so close to everything meant that the restaurants were very aimed at tourists, we had to travel to other areas for more traditional food. This does not reflect on the apartment though which is great- we would recommend to stay here and would do so again.
The Colosseum Apartment is wonderful! Me and my family had a extremely nice week there. It is so near to the Colosseum so you have a beautiful view and can always take a incredibly nice walk thru the Forum Romano. It is very central and easy to get anywhere in Rome. Massimo and his wife where very kind hosts. We happened to unfortunately lock us out, and Massimo was there for us in just 5 minutes with a smile on his face and very nice and solved the problem in seconds. Thank you very much again! Also, we got some very good sightseeing and restaurant suggestions upon arrival. I can absolutely recommend this apartment!
This apartment was the final stop on our ten day trip to Italy. Having spent a week in Tuscany, we arrived on a Saturday Fternoon to find Massimo at the door just as we pulled up. While I took our rental car to the train station to return it, he very kindly helped my mother and daughter bring our bags up to the apartment and showed them around. Our stay was truly delightful. The location was perfect, with a grocery store, gelateria, and cafe within a few steps and a taxi stand just around the corner. The colosseum is literally a block away. And still it was amazingly quiet. He arranged for a shuttle to take us to the airport at the end of our stay, which worked out well despite some shanaigans with the airline. We would definitely stay there again when next we come to Rome. Thank you!
What can I say, Massimo is the man. He helped us in so many ways. From setting up our shuttle, to helping us navigate the city and tolerating my special requests. Massimo was so helpful and friendly and flexible. Our trip to Rome could not have been better thanks to him. His flat is very large and we'll laid out. With two bathrooms our group of two couples had plenty of privacy. The neighborhood had a great nightlife with a few great restaurants (and also a few not so great) but was always fun. Perhaps a little better suited for younger guests because the street was a bit noisy at night but overall we absolutely loved the flat and the location.
