The space

We can't wait to host you at our brand new, one-of-a-kind chalet offering the rare opportunity to lodge in premium grade FULL log construction with high speed fiber-optic Internet and central heating/air conditioning. Chalet LaRosa is adorned with high gloss, grizzly-brown pine floors throughout that dramatically contrast with vibrant knotty pine walls and carpentry. Basement and bathroom floors are equipped with premium tile for easy cleanup! Below is a brief summary of highlights from each of Chalet LaRosa's unique spaces including its four bedrooms:
*Outdoor Patio*
Step outside and experience our breathtaking mountain view in our new 8" cedar barrel sauna with panoramic view, around the shaded picnic table or in our bubbly hot tub. The recently extended wrap around patio deck is draped with lighting providing a magical touch especially during twilight hour. Beside the deck is featured a fire pit with comfortable Adirondack style seating. The chalet is equipped with a 55" propane gas grill (gas provided), perfect for groups large or small.
*Living Room*
The living area's vaulted wood beam ceilings and 2-story stone gas fireplace will leave a lasting impression. Gather on the new Italian leather sectional around the fire with friends and family to enjoy complimentary board games (Monopoly, Connect Four, and cards, among others) or game-out on our Nintendo Switch with Mario Party and Mario Kart (steering wheels included!). If television is your preferred entertainment, complimentary Netflix is available on our 65" 4k smart television connected to a Polk sound bar with wireless subwoofer.
*Kitchen & Dining Area*
The fully equipped kitchen features premium Samsung stainless steel appliances including 5-burner gas range and dishwasher (complimentary detergent pods). Kraftmaid white cabinetry is complimented by white and black granite counter tops. Your coffee options include a classic drip coffee maker or get fancy with a latte/cappuccino from the Keurig K-Cafe (complimentary coffee pods). Dine on our 80" live edge wood dining table lit by a large rustic antler chandelier. Additional folding dining chairs are available. For those with babies or young children, a high chair is located in the basement closet.
*Basement*
Let the games begin! Guests can start the party by preparing a drink behind our custom bar (with mini fridge and fully functional sink!) that is stocked with glasses for your beverages of choice (beer mugs, wine glasses, martini glasses, etc.). The 7' rustic-style pool table converts into a ping-pong table to show off your best Forest Gump impression. The basement also features an arcade loaded with dozens of classic video games including Pacman, Donkey Kong, Galaga, and Frogger along with a 42' flat screen smart TV and dart board. Laundry can be done in the basement washer/dryer and complimentary laundry pods are provided.
*Work Loft*
Chalet LaRosa is perfect for those working during their stay. Our height adjustable standing desk offers maximum comfort to sit or stand and guests can make use of the wireless printer/scanner. For additional inspiration, cozy up with your books on our custom window nook overlooking a picturesque mountain view. A large external HP monitor is also available for guests who wish to work on a bigger screen.
*Bedroom One (Grizzly)*
This is a truly Insta-worthy space centered around a 84" hand-hewn canopy bed in grizzly finish. Additional features of this space include an oversized electric fireplace, optional fairy lighting and canopy bed lighting, and a large en-suite bathroom with two sinks. Classic materials throughout including red flannels and burlap create an authentic cabin vibe. The bedroom also features a charming private balcony with seating for two.
*Bedroom Two (Bunk)*
The Chalet's custom, full-size bunk beds were constructed with salvaged beams from a local collapsed barn incorporating a charming touch of the Catskills. The beds are dressed with classic red and black buffalo plaid duvets and accented with industrial steel piping.
*Bedroom Three (Industrial)*
The Chalet's "industrial" room was carefully curated with black accents that uniquely contrast with its rural setting. Among other items, the room is complimented by several antique cameras sourced from local estate sales, nostalgia inducing Catskills imagery, and a modern mountain art centerpiece. This room includes a full length mirror and mini electric fireplace.
*Bedroom Four (Boho)*
The chalet's fourth bedroom is designed with a Boho style that evokes a peaceful, zen mood. The space is gently decorated with various styles of greenery and warmed by both its pine wood ceiling and canvas tone bedding providing an environment of relaxation. This room includes a full length mirror and mini electric fireplace.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house with the exception of the first floor (linen/cleaning) closet, utility room, and garage. If utility room or linen/cleaning closet access is needed, keys are stored on the premises in a lockbox to which your hosts are able to provide access.
Other things to note
*Showers/Tubs*
The chalet includes two showers (2nd floor and basement) and one bathtub with a shower (1st floor).
*WiFi*
Chalet LaRosa is equipped with high speed fiber optic WiFi designed for web browsing, social media, audio/video streaming, and gaming.
*8th Bed*
The chalet’s 8th bed is a custom roll out foam mattress designed for the living room sectional. A sheet and pillows are available in the industrial room closet.
*Bathroom Body Wash, Shampoo, and Conditioner*
Guests are provided with complimentary body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. These complimentary items are Ginger Lily Farms products and 100% vegan and cruelty free.
*For Children*
For guests with babies and young children, there are children's toys and coloring books available for your use under the window nook in the upstairs loft. Additionally, there is a high chair in the basement closet so your little ones can eat comfortably while at the chalet.
*The Locals*
Given the area's rural location, you may occasionally have a friendly critter visit in the house. Lady bugs are the most common, especially during the winter. Most pests are completely benign and we ask if you could please try your best to open windows to release any lady bugs so they can return home!
*Driveway*
Upon entering the premises, the driveway features an elevated slope. The elevation completely flattens in front of the house. During winter months, please do not use the bottom half of the driveway which takes you to the garage as the elevation is steeper and may present issues climbing back up if there are snow/ice on the ground.
*Winter Guests and Four Wheel Drive Vehicles*
Winter guests are advised to drive a four wheel drive vehicle to the cabin and monitor weather conditions as the mountain can get quite snowy between December and March.
*Extra Pillows*
Extra pillows are available in the industrial room closet.
*Ice & Firewood*
Although we provide a broad range of home essentials and complimentary items, guests are asked to provide their own ice and firewood for the exterior chimnea.
*Cleaning Supplies and Tools*
Guests are provided with a wide range of cleaning supplies including laundry detergent pods, dish washer pods, dish detergent, Windex, and garbage bags. There is also a Eureka vacuum in the first floor closet along with a mop and bucket.
