Dive right in

This is one of the few places in the area with a pool.
The famous Chichester house was featured on Grand Designs and floats over a stunning natural swimming pond. You can dive out of the kitchen straight into the water and kids can enjoy the shallow areas.

The relaxed Californian-vibe eco house was designed by award-winning architect and interior designer, owners of The Water Shed. Surrounded by peaceful fields and set on 1.5 acres in the beautiful coastal village of Bosham, it’s close to Goodwood and the golden sandy beaches of West Wittering.

The space
The property is best suited for 3 couples and 2-4 children.

It can sleep an additional 2 adults on a pull-out sofa bed in the loft bedroom (where one of the double beds is) but it’s a touch more compromised!

There are the following beds / bedrooms:

> master bedroom (first floor, king size bed and en-suite bath and shower)

> guest bedroom (first floor, double bed and bathroom with bath and shower)

> loft bedroom (third floor, double bed and double pull-out sofa bed, small en-suite toilet)

> kids bedroom 1 (first floor, with triple bunk bed, en-suite shower room)

> kids bedroom 2 (first floor, with triple bunk bed, en-suite shower room. NB: in December the bunk bed will be swapped for adult size twin beds)

Guest access
Guests can access all areas of the property and garden - and the rental is exclusively for their private use.

Other things to note
The natural swimming pond isn't heated, but is incredible to swim in all year round! In winter some wear wetsuits, others don't.

We have a wood-fired hot tub just next to the pond.

Hot tub comes cleaned, filled with water and a supply of logs and firelighters for you to use.

Neighborhood highlights

The sea is literally on the other side of the field behind the house - so head left out of the house down Taylor’s Lane until you reach Stumps Lane on the left. This road will take you directly to the sea.

This will bring you to Bosham harbour, where twice a day the roads directly next to the harbour flood at high tide, so you just take the higher foot paths to get around the water. It’s truly the most unusually beautiful of areas with coastal walks stretching in every direction.

I’m Nina (an interior/furniture designer) and I’m married to my husband Daniel, an architect. We have two little girls, Isla and Lexi - and we live at the house when we’re not renting it out. We designed and built the house ourselves and were filmed for Grand Designs throughout the whole process. You can check it out on All 4 Catch-Up TV (the Chichester house)! The property is often used as a photographic location for luxury brands. Daniel and I also have a practice that integrates architecture, interiors and nature. We’re always on the look-out for investors / financiers to collaborate with us on the next holistic location. So if you’re interested / know anyone, do let us know! As a family we adore swimming in the natural swimming pond at the house; going for adventures (be it local or further afield!) and experiencing all the gems this part of the world has to offer ;) We’re always so touched by the wonderful comments people make when they come, as they seem to love it just as much as we do! It feels like you’re totally immersed in nature. It is truly a special place and we would love for you to experience it for yourselves.
