3rd floor apartment in a secured block with lift access, landscaped gardens and permit only parking.
2 double rooms, the flat is comfortable for four; each room with standard double bed. Ample storage space. Modern bathroom with shower above bath. Kitchen with standard appliances, utensils and storage. Light, roomy corner lounge with dining table (can seat 6).
There is a supermarket on the same block, and buses a few minutes walk away on Leith Walk, will take you directly into the centre of Edinburgh, but it's an easy 20 minute walk to town. The apartment has free wi-fi, a CD and radio and I-pod docking speakers.
Leith Walk has many restaurants including the wonderful Valvona and Crolla, maybe Edinburgh's best known Italian delicatessen.
The next block up has Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre and the Omni Cinema complex.
The east end of Princes Street 15 minutes walk, has Waverley train station and the St James Centre where the bus station is.
2 blocks from Broughton Steert where there are a great selection of restaurants and bars, good for breakfast, lunch and dinner, also Crombie's butcher shop.
Edinburgh is wonderful city to walk round, it is compact and easy to navigate from the order of the New Town to the surprising closes of the Old Town around the Royal Mile.
I love to walk and find it so easy to get around, even the hour it takes through the beautiful streets of the New Town out to the west end and to Murrayfield Rugby Stadium is a pleasure on a crisp winter day!

The house is cozy and functional, within walking distance from the center but at the same time, in a neighborhood quieter and less chaotic. The house is furnished with great taste, it has a super-equipped kitchen and a bright living room with all sorts of useful furnishings to improve the holiday. Morag, the owner, is a wonderful person. She was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for sightseeing. It 'was an unforgettable holiday
Lovely flat in a GREAT location in Edinburgh! Morag was a lovely host who arranged a convenient time to meet me at the flat and ensure that everything was clear about our stay. She was helpful in arranging parking and flexible about our arrival and departure times. The flat was warm and cosy in the chilly Scottish weather and fitted out with everything we needed to cook during our time there - and even do an unexpected load of laundry! The two double bedrooms are equal in size and furnishings, so this is a great place to choose for couples traveling together. I'd stay again!
Morag was very welcoming and patient when we were running late. Her flat was great everything we needed and close to city. Would highly recommended would definitely choose to stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay in Morag's cozy, charming flat. It was spotless when we arrived and very comfortable. Bathroom recently upgraded with strong water pressure. Floors a bit creaky but added character :) We made good use of the functional kitchen, washing machine, etc. It is not a brand new flat but it is well-maintained and cared for. Morag was really excellent and patiently waited for us to arrive at her place despite some unforeseen delays upon landing in Edinburgh. We had a very relaxing stay as it was in a quiet part of town (an important consideration for us as we were traveling with an infant). The grocery was just up the street (5 mins away) and takeaway places 8-10 mins. Royal Mile & Princes St about a 20 min walk or so. Check in and check out very easy and convenient. Only have good things to say about our stay there and would definitely recommend a stay at hers for families!
We spent 5 nice days in Edinburgh. Morag’s flat is spacious and well located, close to shops and only 15 minutes walking to the city center . Morag is a very nice host, she also made her Italian brother-in-law call us for checking if everything was going well ! Thank you Morag.
Nice, spacious flat, about 10 minutes from the city centre. Morag was a great host and even organised a travel cot for my baby son so I didn't have to carry it with me.
Somewhat disappointed with the condition of the apartment in contrast with the description. Mildew around bath, soiled carpet, creaky floors, well-worn kitchen. Location, neighborhood, and host pleasing enough, in a beautiful, vibrant city. A bit over-priced for what you get, however.
Morag was a lovely host and the apartment was in a great location. Close enough to the center to walk and on a nice and quiet street. I'd love to stay again!
Great location, clean and lovely host - what more could we ask for? We had a great stay at Morag's apartment. It's so conveniently located - to grocery stores, to places to eat out/take-away, walking distance to the tourist centre and main train station.
Morag was a great host. She waited patiently for us, even though we arrived much later than our agreed arrival time. The place was comfortable and clean and when we had a small plumbing malfunction, Morag was quick to respond (in the evening, mind you) and arranged for an early morning visit from the plumber so it wouldn't interfere with our plans for the day.

El apartamento de Morag es muy amplio y confortable ,muy bien situado ( a 10 minutos andando del centro ) pero bien comunicado por bus.Era exacto a las fotos y Morag fue una encantadora anfitriona ,contesto rápidamente a todo y nos ayudo en todo lo que le solicitamos . Muy recomendable , y si volvemos a Edimburgo ,sin dudarlo ,volveremos a su casa.

Morag's apartment was excellent! Her communication was great, the apartment was exactly as expected. Lovely and spacious and a great location, just a short walk from everything. The flat was very clean and with comfortable beds, and with a good Wifi connection as well, which was very useful.! She is a good host, well organized, very smooth check in. She also asked us after check in if we needed anything.I would definitely recommend .
