Relaxing cosy bedroom, filled with afternoon sunshine if the weather's in the right mood! The flat is part of a traditional Glasgow tenement block, in the city's West End. Make yourself at home in the kitchen and living room. Lovely park opposite.

The space

A chance to stay in a traditional high-ceiling'd Glasgow flat, near to the Botanic Gardens and buzz of Byres Road. Lovely quiet room, or feel free to lounge about in the living room. If you like cats, our Tinsel will almost definitely curl up on you… (otherwise we'll shoo her away!)

Guest access

Bathroom (including bath), kitchen and living room. You can use the washing machine if you stay for a few nights.

Interaction with guests

We will totally respect your privacy, but equally would love to chat and get to know you while you're here if you've got time for a cup of tea :)

House Rules

No smoking in the flat, and I'd prefer to have an idea when guests will be back each night so we can lock up ...

I really enjoyed my stay with Anne and Maria (and friends). They were fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful and let me come and go as I pleased. I felt very comfortable in their lovely flat and left Glasgow feeling refreshed, remarkable since I was visiting for work! The neighbourhood was also lovely, with lots to see and do only a walk away but also with good transport links. Thanks very much.

I was made welcome by Anne in a friendly way, and was very comfortable in the room. Anne was happy for me to come and go as I needed. I enjoyed meeting Maria, Anne's daughter who is a talented artist and it was also good to meet Tinsel the cat. Thank you!

Anne was a lovely host. She sent me a message the day before to ask at what time I was planning to arrive, so check-in went smoothly. The room was exactly as described and shown in the pictures, and the neighbourhood was really nice and conveniently located near Hyndland train station and the shops and restaurants on Hyndland road. The flat itself was very beautiful, though I had a busy weekend, so I didn't get to spend much time there. Unfortunately, due to my busy schedule I only saw Maria, Anne's daughter, and their lovely cat very briefly ;-)

I really enjoyed staying for the month at Anne's wonderful flat. It is lovely and bright, with typical Glasgow features, high ceilings etc. The flat is in an excellent location, nice and quiet, with the West End an easy 10 minute walk away and various forms of transport very handy for getting into the city centre. Anne was an excellent and relaxed host, making me feel very welcome and at home immediately. I was working a very hard schedule during my stay, so needed my home from home to be just right. And it certainly was, I'd not hesitate to recommend staying there.

Anna and her daughter Maria were fantastic hosts. I was there for a quick visit and I didn't spend much time in the house, but the room/house had everything you might need: lovely hosts, large bright room with a table and wardrobe, bathroom next door and large kitchen which they were more than happy for me to use. Absolutely fantastic stay, I will definitely be in touch next time I'm coming to Glasgow.

Anne is an extremely nice host and gave me a very warm welcome into her lovely home. The room is beautifully light with a large sash window looking out at the back and a high ceiling. It is spotlessly clean and otherwise very much as depicted in the photograph. The neighbourhood is wonderfully peaceful, leafy and green and I was able to park nearby. I would thoroughly recommend it as a good place to stay.

I'm a radio producer, based here in Glasgow, and living with my 9 year old daughter, and our cat (Tinsel - very friendly).
We've had some great experiences hosting people here - there's plenty of space, and we love having visitors and helping them to explore the city and the countryside too. I've done a lot of travelling myself in the past, and have lots of overseas relatives, so we have a pretty international outlook. The more different accents the better!
I remember staying in a B&B in New Zealand which was run by an older couple who said, "We used to travel the world, but now we have the world visiting us instead." I like that. (Though even better - a bit of BOTH if possible!)
