The space

Private, sunny room in a very quiet, established east side neighborhood. You'll find a queen size bed with luxury linens, and a private bathroom next to the guest room in a neat house only 3 short blocks from the historic Sonoma Plaza. We request a two night minimum on holiday and summer weekends.

Enjoy wine country and the charming town of Sonoma. Renowned restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, shops and an art museum are all within walking distance. The Plaza currently has over 20 tasting rooms so you can partake and walk home without worrying about the drive.

For those who wish to explore further, there are shops that rent bicycles close by and hiking and walking trails; the hosts would be happy to suggest routes We have a couple of bicycles available for use.

Wireless internet, outside court yard with herb garden, a beautiful backyard and a petanque court (like bocce ball) for your use. You may have kitchen and laundry room privileges. Easy street parking in front of the house. We have a large but sometimes shy lap cat. Fresh coffee and juice available.

There is a lot going on in all seasons in Sonoma, The Tuesday evening Farmers Market is not to be missed; we also have a Friday morning Farmers Market where you can spot many of the town chefs planning their meals. The grape harvest in the fall brings people from around the world to enjoy the colors and aromas of the wine country and the olive harvest and festival in the winter keeps the action going year round.

There is an art museum and two small history museums to see as well as the historic mission, the Vallejo house and some interesting wine-related museums. There is an International Film Festival in April and other festivals throughout the summer and fall.

We hope you enjoy our house, the town and neighborhood as much as we do.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to use any of the outdoor areas. We have a very nice courtyard were they may want to have coffee in the morning or maybe a glass of wine in the evening.

Is so nice being able to walk to restaurants and tasting bars without needing a car! Especially after driving around vineyards the whole day. Very suggested place to stay!

It was a pleasure staying with Bobbie and Pat. They were extremely courteous, responded quickly to messaging and offered some tips. Would happily stay again.

Pat and Bobbie's place was great and they were wonderful hosts. Very accommodating and friendly. Their home is a ten minute walk from the square.

What a wonderful home tucked away a couple blocks from Sonoma Plaza. We loved being able to walk everywhere! Everything is just as pictured. Definitely a perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway. Would recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful addition to your trip to wine country.

Bobbie and Pat has a great place, that is walkable to the the Sonoma town square and all that it offers. The room was comfortable and cozy and we felt at home (great for afternoon naps after a day of wine tasting etc :) ). Would definitely recommend their place to friends for a stay in Sonoma.

Bobbie and Pat were pleasant hosts. The accommodations were as advertised. Kitchen was well appointed. However, there was little privacy. Yes, the room is private (not shared), but holds one queen/double bed and one chair. The hosts were up in the living room watching TV both nights we stayed (which can be heard from the bedroom). The bedroom is located right next to the kitchen and kitchen-noises in the morning could also be heard from the bedroom. If you looking for privacy in the common areas, you may not find that staying here. However, if you don't mind spend some time getting to know the hosts, conversing on the patio, or chit-chatting in the kitchen, then this might be a nice room for you.

Response from Bobbie And Pat:
We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Given the layout of the house we try and give our guests as much privacy as possible. Some of our guests expect interaction with the hosts and some do not and we try to walk that line tactfully. Perhaps you would have been more comfortable in a hotel or cottage, however, that is not what was offered.

Pat and I love to bicycle, garden and read. And share our town of Sonoma with guests. Lots to do here in addition to wine tasting. We love Sonoma, there is a real sense of community here and a more relaxed pace of life. We've lived in Sonoma since 1999 and can direct you to some of the best places to eat, drink and play. We can also suggest bicycle and hiking routes that we enjoy.
