The smart loft was great! It's a funky space in a fabulous location! Cristiano was a great host - made time to orient us on a map, give us recommendations for the neighborhood, and show us around the apartment. He also responded quickly to questions about transportation and logistics, even during out stay. I'd definitely stay here again.
Everything about our experience in the Trastevere Loft was perfect. The Trastevere neighborhood is fantastic for restaurants, bars, and walking around gorgeous old Rome streets. The particular part of Trastevere where the loft is located is ideal because you are within a 3 minute walk of all of the liveliness and fun of the neighborhood, but are actually on a quiet street, where regular Romans live. There are no tourists on this street. You are around the corner from a lovely piazza with a daily farmers' market and a number of bars (coffee, snacks, drinks) and restaurants. It is filled every evening w/children playing soccer and Roman families hanging out.
Having been in Rome for over a week, and walking through pretty much every neighborhood, I would definitely choose to stay in this neighborhood again. It is ideal in every way.
The loft itself is perfect for a couple. The ceilings are VERY high and it was a cool oasis in the unexpected heat of Rome in early June (92 F), even in the middle of the day. It was also quiet and peaceful for sleeping at night with all of the windows open. The bathroom was great, lots of pressure in the shower and hot water.
Cristiano was an excellent host in every way.
Cristiano is a wonderful host. His apartment is just perfect if you want to stay into a very charming and bubbly neighbourhood. Although it is so close to the attraction of Trastevere the apartment is seated in a quiet street and in walking distance to nearly every sight in Rome and also to the bus and tram stations.
We had a great arriving, talking with Cristiano for a while and get very good recommendations for restaurants and bars around. This guy knows what he`s talking about!
So it was another recoomendable experience with airbnb. Thanks Cristiano!
I had a fantastic stay in Cristiano's apartment! The apartment was just as described. It's enormous and very comfortable, and has all the essentials, including a strong internet connection. Moreover, it's in a great location, just steps away from the nightlife of Trastevere and close to public transportation but on a quiet street, so noise wasn't a problem at night. Cristiano was a great host! We had a nice chat, and he seems like a very warm and friendly person. Plus he gave me lots of useful information. I definitely recommend this place!
Cristiano was a wonderful host! He welcomed us upon arrival, helped us map things out on a map & even called us a cab for our early 3 am departure to make sure we were taken care of. He has a book with wonderful suggestions of his favorites in the area...and speaking of area, he is in a great neighborhood!! His place was a great home base for our trip to Rome and a wonderful value. We really enjoyed our stay!!
We arrived an hour later in the evening than expected, and we had no way to contact Cristiano before. So when we got there a very lovely neighbor of his allowed us to use his phone to make the call. Cristiano lives only 10 minutes away, so came to meet us immediately. Although this all worked out fine for us, I would recommend planning ahead with either a phone that works in Italy, even for a text, or calling/emailing from the airport etc.
When we arrived around midnight (!), we asked Cristiano if he could recommend somewhere nearby for a quick bite, and he did much better than that. He walked us to an amazingly delicious kebob place in the neighborhood, sat with us and chatted while we ate, and then walked us home.
When we got back to the apartment, he showed us the terrific hand-written guide he put together with his recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The restaurant he recommended for our second night was *exactly* what we were looking for. Cristiano is a great guy and host- very accommodating and generous.
The apartment was exactly what we were looking for- in a great neighborhood, very close to public transportation, and very walkable to all the things we wanted to see. It's a simple place, a basement apartment so not too much light, which is great for sleeping, but not so much if you are looking for a place to hang out in during the day. But why would you be looking for that while you're in Rome?! I would definitely recommend this place if you want the perfect crash pad, with a small kitchen for making breakfast or if you want to cook, a comfortable bed, hot water in the shower, a working fireplace if you're staying in the colder months, etc.
This apartment is ideally located, super clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in a second and completely recommend this apartment. Cristiano was very friendly and helpful.
Cristiano is a very Perfect and friendly Host. He First Showed us the area of Trastevere and gave us recos for Restaurants and Bars.
The loft has everything You need and is well located. Everything is in walking distance.
It was clean and silent. We missed nothing
It was a pleasure for us. Rome is the most beautiful city we have ever seen.
Thank you so much Cristiano
We had a wonderful stay in Rome. The small loft was a clean open space studio which was in a perfect location of trastevere. Cristano was a great host and was very welcoming. We would definitely go back.
Smart Loft in Trastevere was a great place to stay during our visit to Rome! Its location is great and the apartment has everything you need. Christiano is a nice and helpful guy. I really recommend this apartment!
