Interaction with Guests
We will not be in our home during your stay. For stays longer than a week, we may need to make a short visit to the loft and grab a few items. Other than that, we won't come around unless you want us to!
Historic Seton Hill is perfectly situated to everything. There is a beautiful park just 2 blocks away where you can get sun and quiet.
We are 2 blocks from the Light Rail, which is the best way to get to us from the airport. There is also the Charm City Circulator, that will get you around the city for free.
1. There is a wonderful freight elevator in the building that can only be used at check-in and check-out (for your luggage and such), however, during your stay you will have to take the stairs.
2. In an effort to lessen our carbon footprint, PLEASE turn off all lights, fans, etc. when not in use.
This is a beautiful loft with a lot of space. LaShay & Bizzy welcomed us and made us feel at ease. We made the place our own and truly enjoyed our trade show escape. The walk was a comfortable walking distance from the Inner Harbor and an easy $5.00 cab ride back at the end of the day. You just need to direct the cab drivers because they have no clue where the street is. :)
We were not comfortable walking down the street to the East, so we jumped over one more street and were much more comfortable!
The one thing I will do next time... Bring your comfy shoes and a noise maker. The stairs are tough after a long day of walking the show floor and there is a club just North of the loft and Saturday night, they were bumpin'.
All in all, a wonderful place and I am happy to have met LaShay.
I recommend this place for the free spirit and traveler.
LaShay was an inviting and helpful host. She gave us a lot of good ideas and information about the area and the city in general. The place was spacious and clean with everything you need however it should be noted that the loft is on the fourth floor meaning three long flights of stairs to climb (only an issue if you have mobility challenges). A 5 minute walk gets you to a nice restaurant/bar on Eutaw and about 10 minutes further and you are at the Inner Harbour with further access to Camden Yards and the M & T Bank football stadium. Close by was an old fashioned Italian deli with great take out and cheap wine. You can get to the loft using the MARC trains to and from the airport and there is also a free bus shuttle you can access at the Inner Harbour with stops all over the city. We enjoyed the urban, inner city Baltimore experience.
LaShay is a very welcoming host and we had a great and very comfortable stay at her place. Totally recommended.
The apartment inside was very nice comfortable big And clean.
We only stayed for one night. There was a miscommunication problem , we were not allowed to use the elevator. The building is located in a very old area which made us thought it was not safe . The whole block is full of old places and does not look very friendly however the surrounding areas are very nice .Make sure you read the building has four floors and you are only to use the stairs. We could not meet the owner in person since she was on holiday but she left a friend who was always communicating with us. Overall good Good experience and nice people.

About the Host, LaShay & Bakari
We love life, we love travel, and we love people! What better way to merge the three, than hosting people in our home?! Bakari is born and bred in Baltimore, and I am a southerner which inevitably means we love good food and sweet tea! We may have both of those on your visit. We believe that life is about the experiences you have with people you have known for years or those you meet while standing in line at the bank. If you want your stay in Baltimore to be an enriching one, by all means bring your bags, experiences, and conversation to our home!
