Experience the charm of Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn! A traditionally Italian-American neighborhood, it is now dotted with lovely boutiques, shops and cafes, and yet has retained many of its long-standing family run businesses.
Try the lard bread at Caputo's Bakery on the next block, or experience the best classic Italian sandwich at Esposito & Sons meat shop just two blocks over. Then stop in for an afternoon beer at the Alpine restaurant, Brooklyn Buschenshank, conveniently located on the ground floor. Please check my guidebook for more suggestions on other great neighborhood places!
The apartment is located in a building on a prime corner in quaint Carroll Gardens only two short blocks from the (F) subway. What was once a brothel in the '50s and '60s is now spacious but cozy 2 bedroom flat on the 3rd floor.
Upon entering the apartment you will walk into a beautiful, tranquil, and spacious living room with an open kitchen layout. Off the living and kitchen area there are two equally sized bedrooms, each with a window overlooking Court Street (one of the two main commercial streets). Original wood ceiling beams give charm to the space.
The apartment also features:
Two queen beds with white bedding
Bathroom with tub & shower
Fresh towels and linens
Utensils/pots for cooking
4-burner stove and oven
Heat and A/C
It is a 3 floor walk-up.
Please, no smoking and no pets.
The F/G train at Carroll Street is a 5 minute walk.
This place is in a great neighbourhood. It's a fairly sizable two-bedroom and is comfortable enough. The living area is pretty big and there is a nice work desk. It's good for two couples for a long weekend, but not ideal for longer stretches (we stayed there for 10 days). There are some things that aren't great about it: the living room is heated by two large gas space heaters, which are very noisy when they come on, the shower doesn't have very good water pressure, and the beds all have plastic covers on them which isn't great to sleep on (although maybe this is a bed-bug precaution?).
De buurt is heerlijk. Geweldige winkeltjes en restaurants.
This is a wonderful apartment in a great neighborhood. Amy made everything so easy. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed staying in this apartment and exploring Brooklyn. The apartment was clean and spacious. It is in a vintage building so the wooden floors are squeaky but we soon became used to that. Amy communicated quickly and well with us at all times. The Metro F line is close by and Manhattan is not far away. There are many good shops and eating places in the street, even Trader Joes just minutes away! We
would definitely come back again.
The apartment was very nice, clean and as described. Amy is very polite and helpful, everything was fine.
My parents and aunt stayed here over our wedding weekend, and they had a great time. The apartment is super cute and in a very walkable neighborhood filled with restaurants and shops. Amy was a very responsive host, and her apartment was perfect for our needs.
Arranging our booking was smooth and Amy was quick to respond. I really loved my short stay at this apartment. The neighborhood is awesome. I wish I was there longer. We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge over to Manhattan one day which was a big highlight for me. The apartment is about a half hour walk from the Brooklyn Bridge Park which is pretty and has nice views. Lots of cute stores and restaurants in the area. The floors are really squeaky but we got used to it. The apartment was really clean and relaxing.

Hey, I'm Amy. Originally from TX, I'm a busy mom and have lived in NY for 10 years now. I love living downtown and exploring all it has to offer. I also love reading, running, and sewing.
