Our 2 bedroom 1947 bungalow is filled with charm and comfort. In the living room, there is a unique beehive fireplace to relax next to in the evening. Each bedroom has a queen bed and closet space. The fully equipped kitchen seats four but if you are having people for dinner, there is a separate area with a table for eight. We have a walled in patio which is shared with folks living in the casita in the back. You can barbecue in the yard or choose any one of the multitude of restaurants that are within a couple of miles of the house. A washer and dryer is also available. The one bathroom has a whirlpool tub that might be enjoyable after hiking in the desert all day.
We are centrally located and walking distance from Reid Park where you can jog, play tennis, golf, watch a baseball game, swim or go to the zoo. There is nearby public transportation but if you have a car, parking is no problem.
We don't allow animals, but there is a small dog living in the casita in the back, as well as a mysterious cat that loves the stroll through the yard and look in the windows.
As of May 2013, we now have AC and a new heat system!
No pets and no smoking inside.
This is the second time we have stayed at Annie's for a month long visit each time and would gladly stay longer and want to stay again later this year. Communications with Annie are always totally satisfactory and any concerns we have or questions are promptly responded to. The house is decorated beautifully with lots of color and Mexican art. We used the patio a lot to sit out in the sun and the Arizona room is huge. The appliances are new and the bed is very comfortable. It is in a killer location; a short walk of maybe 8 minutes to Tucson's largest park and its close to restaurants and a bagel place. it is very quiet also even though the house is right across the street from a grade school. We are looking forward to coming back.
We had a good experience here overall. The home is described as a bungalow which I thought meant small but it had more space than we expected. It was clean and very well furnished and had everything that we happened to desire - laundry machine, cutting board, sandwich bags, pots and pans, you name it - we were able to find it. Our first night was cold, so we used the fireplace a little which was really nice. A couple of the switches like shower spigot divertor and garbage disposal were a little bit hard to find - different from what I'm used to, but no big deal, found descriptions later in guest book.
Annie was always available to answer questions and supply info even though she wasn't in town. Her house was a cute pueblo style which added to our enjoyment of the area. It's location was convenient to everything!
Enjoyed our stay (as returning guests) in this conveniently located property. Annie is an excellent host and is very responsive to her guests needs.
The Authentic Two Bedroom home was perfect for our visit to family in Tucson. There was enough room that we had a fun Bar B Q one night, lunches and family games during our stay. We enjoyed the way Annie has her home decorated and thought it was a very good value. Thank you Annie. We had a great time and hope to be back soon!
We loved staying at this house again for the second year in a row. The house has a very nice central Tucson location. It's close to the park, zoo and many restaurants and shopping. As always Anne was a super responsive host. Airbnb had made a mistake with our billing and Anne was quick to remedy the situation. She is a pleasure to deal with. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This casita is quintessential old Tucson. It was a delight and a pleasure to stay here. We were in walking distance to Reid park and the neighborhood was very quite this time of year. Annie had everything arranged for us when we arrived and communicated well. Thanks Annie! Will definitely stay again!
Andy and I have been using Airbnb and love it so we decided to become hosts. It is much nicer to come back at the end of the day to a real home, not a hotel room. We have this great house in Tucson that we would love to share. At this point in our lives, business takes us out of town quite often but when we are there, it just feels right. We love to do the four mile walk around the park every morning before we start our day. Tucson is such a great city with so many things to do. Some times though we just sit in the yard and read. We are lucky to have a great person living in the casita in back with his friendly little dog.
When Andy and I are not working, we have lots of interests between us. Some of the things we are involved in include gardening, photography, technology, and pottery. Needless to say, we are never bored. Some of our favorite places to go in Tucson include Sabino Canyon, Degrazia Gallery in the Sun, and Larua's for great green corn tamales.
