Our 2 bedroom 1947 bungalow is filled with charm and comfort. In the living room, there is a unique beehive fireplace to relax next to in the evening. Each bedroom has a queen bed and closet space. The fully equipped kitchen seats four but if you are having people for dinner, there is a separate area with a table for eight. We have a walled in patio which is shared with folks living in the casita in the back. You can barbecue in the yard or choose any one of the multitude of restaurants that are within a couple of miles of the house. A washer and dryer is also available. The one bathroom has a whirlpool tub that might be enjoyable after hiking in the desert all day.
We are centrally located and walking distance from Reid Park where you can jog, play tennis, golf, watch a baseball game, swim or go to the zoo. There is nearby public transportation but if you have a car, parking is no problem.
We don't allow animals, but there is a small dog living in the casita in the back, as well as a mysterious cat that loves the stroll through the yard and look in the windows.
As of May 2013, we now have AC and a new heat system!
We loved staying at this house again for the second year in a row. The house has a very nice central Tucson location. It's close to the park, zoo and many restaurants and shopping. As always Anne was a super responsive host. Airbnb had made a mistake with our billing and Anne was quick to remedy the situation. She is a pleasure to deal with. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This casita is quintessential old Tucson. It was a delight and a pleasure to stay here. We were in walking distance to Reid park and the neighborhood was very quite this time of year. Annie had everything arranged for us when we arrived and communicated well. Thanks Annie! Will definitely stay again!
Having to come to Tucson to exhibit at one of the bead shows can be crazy exhausting, with our staying nearing 2 weeks, hotel rooms and take-out get old fast. Being able to come home to this lovely little house every night was absolutely wonderful! It made our stay fun instead of work. Being able to BBQ a steak and sit outside with a big glass of sangria was a real treat. The caretaker Malo is a great guy and we all became quick friends! You won't regret staying at Annie's lovely bungalow!
annie's house is absolutely beautiful; lots of character with brilliant mexican art work and colors. the bed was like a foam womb. and the house is situated in a great neighborhood and is central and easy to get to everything. within walking distance of a coffee shop, bagel place, burger joint, asian buffet, ups store, hair salon and reid park. the arizona room in the back of the house faced the private large patio and was really sunny. We'd love to stay here again. It is located right across the street from a grade school so 8 to 8:30 am and 2 to 2:30 pm are busy and noisy times.
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday in this beautiful casita.
Both bedrooms are very comfortable and the living room with fireplace made the place especially warm and cozy. We spent one lovely evening lingering around the fire pit outside on the patio. It was the perfect place for our family.
The location is also very convenient. Walking distance to the Randolph Golf Course and Reffkin Tennis Center, shops and restaurants. With the fantastic weather, we played lots of golf and tennis. Fry's on 22nd and the El Con Mall on Broadway also made shopping very convenient.
I would highly recommend Anne's beautiful casita. It really is a home away from home. And we hope to come back again soon!
Annie was a great hostess. She made everything so easy for us upon arrival. Great communicator and her tenant Malo was really a great host as well. The house was perfect. We had a great time staying there and can't wait to go back and stay in Winter to use the beautiful fireplace. Thank you Annie and Malo for an effortless stay. If you want a great, clean, well located place to stay in Tucson. I highly recommend your consider Annie's casita.
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. Annie the owner was very responsive to our needs and always responded very quickly to our questions. Here local agent Brian was also very responsive to our needs.
The house is centrally located in Tucson and walking distance from a very large park that has a zoo, public golf course, and public swimming area. The variety of shopping and restaurants near by is great.
The house itself is clean and cozy. It has a great private backyard where you can sit and enjoy some peace and quiet in the middle of the city. It has a washer and dryer which was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.
This was an excellent location for exploring Tucson as it is close/accessible to just about everything. The support and communication with Annie (and Brian) was excellent. I was there for an extended stay and it felt more like I was leaving home rather then returning to my home when it was time to leave.
This home is an ideal base for exploring Tucson. I had a very enjoyable stay.
It is relatively peaceful (there is school just across the road!), but by evening the neighborhood is very quiet. However the house is located near enough to two major roads for convenience.
It is easily well enough equipped to suit up to 4 people.
Brian and the two little dogs are a definite asset!
Many thanks and I hope to stay again.
My sister and I spent one week at the bungalow. It was very pleasant to have separate rooms, a work table and an outside area to sit. The jetted tub was also a big hit.after a long day of shopping the shows. The central location was perfect for our daily trips to the Gem Shows. The Aquatic Center at Reid Park is also nearby and a wonderful facility. Brian was very responsive to our needs.
