I had an excellent stay of 4 weeks in Casa Peppe and Maria enjoying everything at 100 %: the house, my room, the surroundings which are ideal for walks in the peaceful and beautiful Umbrian nature, the city of Assisi and the small Rivotorto village etc = everything. Darias's mother Antonellla, who lives next door in the same house, is the most helpful person showing an extraordinary hospitality towards the guests. Thank you so much. I can highly recommend this Airbnb-place to everybody.
Very considerate host. Big house with lots of space and the ability to cook, which was nice. Daria met us at the house despite our last minute reservation. This is more like a B&B/hostel. It was a very clean space and the onsite "mom" Anonella was absolutely charming and accommodating. We would stay there again.
Place is great. Its quiet and beautiful. Plenty of snacks etc and fruit. Assisi is a beautiful town and a special place. Loved hike to castle. Churches were very moving. Our only problem was an hour spent trying to find the place. Navi couldn't find the place for some reason.I hope they put up a good sign as it is really needed.Liked the place and would stay there happily again.
I enjoyed my stay but parking was a little tough. They have a long driveway and you can park along the side of it. This is fine if everyone parks off to the side.
Daria has been so kind to fetch me from the train station. The location is wonderful, it has a very good view of the surroundings and in walking distance to the Assisi. The room is big and very clean with toilet on its own (comparable to 4 stars hotel)! I was welcomed with fresh fruits! It's the best place I stayed so far in this airbnb ;).
Daria's mom also has been very kind to invite me for dinner, to check in the morning if i want to be dropped at assisi and she also dropped me off to the train station in the morning when i left. It is a pleasant place to stay!
A fantastic place where to stay and enjoy this magic valley.
This is a really special house. It feels like it's miles from anywhere, way out in the Tuscan hills, a little house among the olive, fig and pomegranate trees, and yes, you can sometimes hear a donkey. Actually though, you can walk 15 minutes along a gorgeous country lane called Mother Earth Way to an escalator which takes you right up to the Porta Nuova!
Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom (with a bath!), a great way to relax after a hard day's sightseeing. Downstairs there is a large dining area with a kitchen, so you don't need to go to restaurants 3 times a day. The wifi works very well.
But the best thing about it are the people who live there, especially Daria's mum Antonella who is so kind and welcoming! We had nice chats, she offered us wine and steaks from her barbecue and was an exceptionally gracious lady:and she took us in her car to the bus when we left Assisi. My only complaint is that the garden and house are so peaceful and lovely that you might rather stay there all day than go see the Giottos!
A great place to stay! Daria's mother was so kind to pick me up from train station early in the morning and gave me a large, comfortable ensuite double room to rest after the night travel. Not to mention the house is fully equipped. The walk to city centre only takes about 20 min uphill (and once you enter the city you will love it too) and offers a nice glimpse of the Umbrian plains. On the next day Daria's mother again gave me a ride to the city centre to attend a mass in the morning and drove me to the train station in the afternoon - on the way she stopped several times for me to take a final pic of Assisi!!! I am really thankful to her hospitality and the kindness of other guests in the house.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the country house near Assisi to which we had a warm welcome from our hostess.
Everything was to our liking: a large bedroom with a fine ensuite bathroom, a kitchen where we prepared our meals and a lovely sunny garden. We were able to walk along country lanes to the nearby San Damiano where Saint Francis stayed with his followers all those years ago.. The surrounding olive groves were a delight at this Spring time, and the peaceful setting of the house a welcome change from the busy streets of Assisi. We would love to return in the future and strongly recommend this place to other travellers.
