This place was fantastic. I loved the neighborhood, the vistas from the courtyard and lighting a fire at night. The layout was very quiet and calming - I really felt at home here.
Jordie was extremely attentive....bathroom, was well-stocked, the apartment was immaculate.
Wonderful restaurants nearby... I went out and had a great dinner every night I was there.
Highly recomment Jordie and this fantastic location.
We loved our stay in Jordie's apartment.
It's perfect for a few days in San Francisco. The apartment is is clean and comfortable. The view from it is outstanding. Given it is at the top of Telegraph Hill, it is more suitable for able bodied people _ the hill is testing, as are the nearby (email hidden) _ but public transport does take you to the top if you're not keen on cabs.
We spent quite a bit of time at the Ferry Building, but the Filbert stairs means it is only a 20 min walk away. There are great bars and restaurants within a five min stroll down the hill as well.
We would definitely stay again if it is available the next time we're back in San Fran.
Good location. Good service. Would stay again. Also got fiter walking up the hills. Local bars and food are very good and very near. Recommend.
I very much enjoyed my stay in the apartment. The place not only has wonderful views from Telegraph Hill, but was also perfectly situated for where I needed to go for business. The apartment is large, and although there is no real kitchen, the coffeemaker helped me get started in the morning. I didn't use the fireplace, as the weather was to warm for that.
Two minor annoyances were the construction taking place outside (but I knew that beforehand and was out all day anyway) and the quality of the WiFi - it is a bit slow when you plan on making (website hidden) calls, but is fine for normal internet use. Jordie was quick to fix the WiFi when the connection was down one evening.
I would highly recommend the apartment if you look for a nice place in Telegraph Hill.
Very neat and clean. Disposable plates and tableware were thoughtfully provided. Adequate beddings and bath linen. Jordi was very responsive.
Site was a bit difficult to find the first time around. On the other hand, it was quiet and peaceful at night. Should be even more so after ongoing construction work in the neighboring units is completed.
First of all, during our stay there was some construction and painting, in fact they were just getting started. We were informed of this just a few days before arriving, so without enough time to find another place, we decided to stick with the plan. Turns out the workers were actually really nice, and since we were outside most of the day anyway, it ended up being a non-issue. There was no dust or dirt to speak of when we got back at night.
We come to the Bay Area quite often and typically stay with friends up on Telegraph Hill. Unfortunately for this trip there were too many people at theirs, so when this listing showed up we were very excited to try it out. And it certainly doesn't disappoint! Everything is spotless and cozy and the location is absolutely perfect. The bed is comfy, the water pressure is great, the terrace is huge and it's nice and quiet at night. Can't ask for more than that! No TV, thankfully, but fast Internet access.
Of course it's hilly, but that's San Francisco for you. You also most likely won't find any parking nearby, but there are a couple of (expensive) garages within a short walk. It's also surprisingly only an 8-10 minute walk down the beautiful Filbert Steps to the Embarcadero, and, yes, there really are parrots flying around constantly. On the other side of the hill you'll find a plethora of amazing restaurants and cafes, and the walk home is quite refreshing. This is one of our favorite neighborhoods of San Francisco.
Jordie answered all our e-mails and questions very quickly (almost instantly, in fact) and it was an absolute pleasure dealing with him.
Will definitely stay here again.
The reservation was canceled 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This reservation was cancelled after lengthy discussions with the guest about
the fact that the owner had just informed me (I am the manager) that there was
going to be substantial construction conducted adjacent to the apartment. The
sudden and expedited timing of the construction, which includes installation of
an elevator and courtyard repairs, was unexpected and unfortunately could not be
prevented. Because of the possibility that noise was going to render the space
less enjoyable during the day, and the owners were not willing to adjust the
price, the guest chose to find another space to rent. In order to ensure that
the guest received their full refund (inclusive of airbnb fees), I cancelled the
reservation from my side. I am very sorry I was unable to a reach a better
resolution with this guest and caused them the additional stress of a
last-minute travel change. Many apologies were bestowed.
Great place right at the top of telegraph hill. It's a hike to get in and out of the apartment, but that's part of the fun of staying in the area that shouldn't be any surprise. You can descend in one direction and hit up the fun restaurants and nightlife in North Beach, or go in the opposite direction and land right in the middle of the Embarcadero. Jordie was very accessible the entire time, and check in was very easy. Telegraph Hill is an awesome area of the city.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the apartment on Telegraph Hill! Jordie was an excellent host, super prompt getting back to us over airbnb and email. His directions were excellent as well. We didn't see him at all throughout our stay unfortunately, but that meant check-in and check-out times were really flexible because we could just pick up the keys at our convenience. The apartment was clean and well stocked for our needs, with a comfortable bed and lots of space for two. In addition, the location was perfect. However, if you don't like walking hills or stairs, or haven't rented a car, it could be a challenge. We would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area!
Jordie was a great host. I would highly recommend this appartment. It's spacious and private with lots of light and in a good location. I had a very pleasant stay. and wouldn't hesitate to stay at Jordie's apartment in the future!
