The Space

Beautiful, newly refurbished one-bedroom tucked away in a very quiet corner of Dublin! Laze around all day in our courtyard garden, or spend the day shopping on Grafton Street or touring trinity College. Five minutes walking distance from Christchurch, Smithfield, and the Jameson Distillery, and in close proximity to city centre, the Guinness Brewery and the Jervis Shopping Centre!

The apartment is on the ground floor of a beautifully maintained building, and looks out onto a large garden and fountain. More importantly, it's extremely peaceful; visitors are within walking distance of the centre of the city, but they will always be able to escape to this small pocket of peace and quiet.

Visitors will have access to great amenities, including:

- Access to a private, gated apartment community complete with garden and fountain
- a newly renovated bathroom, and standard kitchen with washer
- WiFi internet access
- Cable Television
- Home phone
- Situated within city centre, with access to numerous cultural icons, restaurants, and bars
- Walking distance to Smithfield Luas Station, as well as buses 39/39A
- 1 minute walk to Four Courts, St. Andrews Church and the River Liffey
- 5 minute walk to the Jameson Distillery and Smithfield Light House Cinema
- 10 min to the famous Christchurch, Guinness Brewery and the Jervis Shopping Centre
- 15 to 20 minute walk, 5 minute via public transporation, to city centre and access to Pheonix Park, Trinity College, Dublin and Grafton Street
- And, finally, something NO ONE ELSE OFFERS: an apartment manager we've hired just for AirBnB! He not only has his own taxi which he can use to drive guests around, but he'(email hidden) to the city who will let you know where and what you can do while you're staying!

Check around Airbnb! There are NO other full apartment listings that provides a kitchen, cable television, wireless internet access, a clothes washer and a private garden at $135 a night. A no-brainer, and good for us both! :)

You're going on vacation! Who needs to worry about finding places to eat or trying to find a wifi hotspot? Stay here and you won't have to worry about the little things, giving you more time to enjoy Dublin!

  • I stayed there for a week with my grandson - it was a special trip for his 8th birthday. The location was perfect. I purchased Leap cards, but we hardly used them, and I left them for the next guests. We could walk everywhere. The apartment is comfortable (tho the couch was a little short for my big boy to sleep on) and well-equipped. Des showed us how things worked, and later was on the spot on two occasions when I needed a little help. The courtyard is beautiful. It made me feel "at home" when I saw other residents enjoying it.

  • My mother and I stayed at Justin's apartment for a week, and it was an amazing experience. We were nervous because this was our first Airbnb experience, but Justin was very responsive via email, which put us at ease. Desmond and Debbie manage the apartment, and we were able to meet Debbie, who is very sweet and helpful. She arrived at check in time to let us in the apartment, brought us a ton of fresh towels, and came to our aid when we had an incident with the electricity! We were not able to meet Desmond, but he communicated with us via email and was very helpful.

The apartment is in a great location! The Jameson Distillery is right behind the apartment complex, and just about everything else is in walking distance. We used no public transportation while we were in Dublin because everything was so close.

If we go back to Dublin, we would be more than happy to stay at Justin's apartment again! Great experience!

  • This apartment was perfect for our stay. It was in walking distance from everything we wanted to do in Dublin (about a 5 minute walk to the Jameson Distillery and Brazen Head pub). The washer and dryer in the unit was also really helpful for a two week long trip throughout Europe. Thanks Des and Justin!

  • The apartment was in a great location close to all points of interest. It suited our needs and was clean & tidy. Communication with Justin prior to our visit was good. Would recommend it to others.
Make sure you are clear on how the hot water works or you might find you have a cold shower.

  • Being that this was our first booking through airbnb we were slightly anxious about what to expect, but Justin put us at ease. He was responsive via e-mail, and put us in touch with Desmond/Debbie who manage the apartment, prior to our arrival. We made use of Desmond's very convenient taxi service, which got us to/from the airport at a reasonable fee. They were a wonderful couple in all around, giving us tips on what to see and checking to make sure we didn't need anything during our stay.

The apartment was clean and more than spacious for two guests. Some of the surrounding area can look slightly sketchy but we never felt unsafe walking around and the complex is gated which is a bonus.

We made very little use of public transportation as most everything we wanted to see was within reasonable walking distance (<20 minutes), although there is a bus stop and commuter rail station just a couple minutes away.

  • The apartment was great. It was larger than I had anticipated, clean, and had pretty much everything I could need. Debbie, Des's wife, was there to meet me (despite the late hour of my arrival), and was extremely nice. The arrival and departure were simple. Also, Justin's directions were on-point in getting me there without a cab.

The location was excellent. I was able to travel everywhere I wanted to visit (St Stephens/Trinity College/Temple Bar/St Patricks/Guiness) within a 15 minute walk. Jameson is within 2 blocks, and the famous Brazen head pub is right across the Liffey. I really couldn't have picked a better spot.

This was my first airbnb experience, so I was quite wary, but this was great. I'd highly recommend this apartment.

  • Great location, close to Jervis mall, O'Connell Street, Jameson distillery and a lot of churches and parks. Photos show you exact this what you will find when you arrive.
Desmond, who supports Justin while he is in Asia is very nice and open-minded person. We had a great chat. I just wanted to say - Thank you - again!

  • A good stay in Dublin in Justin apartment. Only 10min walking from the center, we made everything by foot.

The flat is simple and functional, and very silent, allowing to wake up with birds, and sun in the morning.

Debbie and Desmond are managing the apartment and were very helpful going to take us at the airport around midnight!

    Thanks Justin, Des & Deb.

  • Good apartment at great location. Very central and very quiet. It has everything you need.

We never met Justin, but he has great help in Desmond and his wife. Nice, punctual people with good smiles!

    Would stay here again.

  • My partner and I had a great time at Justin's flat in Dublin! It felt really secure and safe; was in a great location (only takes 10 minutes to get to the middle of Temple Bar); and was very clean. Desmond was there to greet us and explain everything, which was very helpful.

Only point I have to make is about towels - I e-mailed Justin to ask if we should bring our own, and he said we should bring some ... when we got there - there were sooo many towels! Better towel-related communication between Justin and Desmond? ;)

    Thanks for the stay!
