Response from Caitlin:

Thanks Michael! The bed upstairs is an Ikea queen Island couch bed that we keep open as it's awesome to sit and watch the flat screen as a group with nice thick arm rests and cushions and also is a very firm roomy queen size for sleeping. Cheers!

Response from Caitlin:

I'm not sure how to respond to this except that the several hundred reviews below minus the four Charles had to dig to find speak volumes about the comfort and unusual splendor of my home.

Charles and his friend remained for their entire visit. They then asked for a50% refund a week later which I agreed to and told him to request it through airbnb which he never did. I advised Charles that the home has been there since the 1940's and has been visited through the decades by the city since we've re-wired the electricity recently and the renovations needed to be approved as well. My parents have lived on the property for nearly 50 years. The ceiling downstairs which is about the height of a yurt, has been that way since the 40's. The top floor has high ceilings and five skylights! More incredible view than most homes.

As for the height of the ceiling downstairs my dad lived there for 20 years and is 6'2" and I lived there while renovating it and am 5'9". No head bumps in sight. I'll have to measure it to get an accurate height. Never occurred to me to do so.
I told him if he was concerned he should have left during his stay and I would have issued him a full refund but I also offered him a 50% refund if they made the request thru airbnb since he advised me he'd give me a bad review if I did not provide the refund. He never made the request. So I assumed he had decided against it. Low ceilings in the downstairs bedroom are about the only "flaw" in this little cottage which was a hunting cottage in the 40's and was once visited by Aldous Huxley.
It is a gem. As per the few hundred reviews that attest to that. Charles waited until the last available day to leave this aweful review and for some reason did not go through airbnb to retrieve his 50% refund which I offered in good faith. Please judge this home by the multitude of amazing reviews. It's full of light and brightness and views as it has windows everywhere and skylights everywhere. It's stunning.
