WELCOME TO PARIS!
My name is Lisa,I am a stewardess working for Air France and I am spending my time between Paris and other stop overs. When i am away i am happy to host my guests in my centrally located cosy flat. My little brothers sister will be most happy to meet you, give you the keys and offer you lots of advice,to make your stay enjoyable.
Located in the historical heart of Montmartre, it is walking distance from all the main touristic sites and attractions, such as the Sacré- Cœur Church, Pigalles and Moulin Rouge; along the way you will stumble into many flea markets, antics shops, street markets and other typical Parisian bars. Just down the building, you will find 2 subway stations (Jules Joffrin and Simplon) that will bring you in approx.15 min to other Parisian highlights: Champs Elysées, Sorbonne University, Eiffel Tower, Saint Germain des Prés, the old Latin Quarter, and Jardin du Luxembourg to name a few. For city tours, you can also use buses and pay-as you-go “Velib” bikes. Those are great in the summer, park-in and out at almost a zero-cost!
The neighbourhood is cosmopolitan, dynamic, trendy and looks like a little village as portrayed in the award-winner movie "Amelie” (haven’t you already watched it?!!). It offers a lot of facilities and places to hang out (restaurants, cafés, bars, theatres): the best bakeries can be found at “Maison Landemaire”, and “Boulangerie Cousin Gerard” (2 minutes), wine shops at “Nicolas” - THE place to go for wine lovers (3 minutes), and some great French restaurants named “Antoine de Montmartre,Pulcinella,Les trios Baudets” and bars “Café des deux moulins ( Amélie de montmartre);La Piscine; Le Nord Sud ” are also in the vicinity. I have left an itinerary if you wish to give it a try.
If your next destination brings you throughout France and Europe by train (TGV, Eurostar, Thalys), it’s simple: “Gare du Nord” and “Gare de l’Est” train stations are 4 stops away on Line 4: hop on the train at Simplon subway station, and you are there in 5 minutes.
Let me know if you need additional details or if you have further questions, I’ll be happy to answer your queries.
THE FLAT IN ITSELF
Located on the 3rd floor, it is ideal for 2 guests but can accommodate easily up to 4 guests. I am not charging any fees for additional guests. It is elegantly furnished and clean (it is maintained by a professional housekeeper that comes between each guest’s stay). The flat faces a calm courtyard, and is quiet at night. And most of all, it is sunny. Although the area is quite safe, the building is secure with 2 security codes to dial to access it.
The KITCHEN is fully equipped with all facilities and tools you need to cook and treat yourself: fridge, oven, stove, cutlers and many more utensils. There is also a bar with two stools to enjoy a drink or a meal. I also hope you will enjoy my nespresso & smoothies-making machines.
The BEDROOM offers a branded and soft -double bed (160 x 200 CM) with clean and fresh linen. A large closet is also available.
The LIVING ROOM includes one sofa that turns itself into a king size bed suited for additional 2 guests (160 x200 cm,), one diner table plus chairs and an ancient desk. Hi Fi radio are available. WIFI connection is free.
The BATHROOM is clean and large, and has been entirely refurbished in teck wood in 2012. There is a bathtub, and you will be provided with clean towels and a hygiene kit (shampoo, soap).
I have the pleasure to leave for my guest a guide book of Paris as well as a recommendation list of nearby restaurants, shops, bars etc.
Check in/out times are normally set at 15H/11H but I am flexible as I too travel a lot and know that many guests are sometimes tired after a long journey. Drop me an email if you want to check in/out at different time slots.

The flat is in a good condition shape. We expect guest to take a good care of the place and to keep it clean like if it was there own place.
I expect guest who wont make too much noise for the neirgboord and no parties in respect of my building rules please
First off, I want to say that this is the first trip (5 cities) I have used Airbnb. (LOVE AIRBNB) My father and I did a bonding trip and we had a blast.
This apartment was the last on the travel itinerary and I was very disappointed with it. The description definitely over sells this place. Maintenance was lacking. All the other places we (email hidden)d up to the descriptions.
The couch bed had a high center bar that was very uncomfortable on the back. I ended up pulling the mattress off and putting it on the floor.
The toilet supply line is still dripping. (a review from months ago said there was an issue) As a matter of fact, the bucket that is in place to catch the water was overflowing when we arrived. There was water all over the floor. The dampness of the bathroom caused a very sour smell, mold and mildew in the floor boards.
The biggest issue was that there was no internet. Lisa's book said there was internet in the flat as well as access to the free WiFi in the city. Well, no WiFi in the flat at all, no modem, nothing. And the free WiFi codes she had listed did not work. Not on any item we tried, we also had two local people we met check our codes and it was a no go. Lisa responded to every email prior to are arrival. I finally got a connection at a Starbucks and sent her several messages about the internet situation and got no response from that point on. I still haven't heard anything... I expected an apology or something.
I do not recommend this place, I was truly embarrassed.
If for some reason you decided to use this place, get a cab from the airport... The subway take a while and you have to climb many flights of stairs with the multiple changes. (carrying luggage and full trains made the commute miserable)
You can take the #80 bus all the way to the Eiffel tower from very near the apartment. (30min)
#42 crosses the #80 just before the river and it goes to the Louvre. Eiffel tower is the 3rd stop after the river.
The apt was ok. In a great location. Very tranquil and had it's charm but it is not well maintained or thoroughly cleaned. 1/2 the light-bulbs were burnt out, there was a leak in the bathroom with a bucket that needed to be emptied every other day, the bathroom sink was clogged, the kettle did not work and the floors were really creaky/squeaky. there were major dust bunnies under the bed. The apt was provisioned pretty well, dishes, a good sized fridge, stove top, microwave, washer.
Lisa's communication was hit and miss. When she communicated, she was very pleasant but would completely ignore some comments/questions. For example, we informed her about the clogged sink and requested a solution and that was never answered. We did not get instructions on how to access the apt and no one was there to let us in or show us how it all worked. If we hadn't had a cell phone we would have been in big trouble. The front door is tricky and was explained how to open it after we messaged Lisa. There was no internet and she communicated some options for us which we were not able to make work (likely due to our lack of french). Lisa was very apologetic for this and offered us some compensation.
For us it was problematic that she was not available locally to address some of our issues. In fairness we did not report all of them to her as after a lack of resolution on the sink felt it would fall on deaf ears. She did create and provide a great booklet on items in the neighborhood and suggestions for Paris.
It is a 3 flight walk up. We had a lot of luggage and a 2 year old, not the best scenario but doable. We would probably not stay here again but with proper expectations it could be ok for others.
The flat is in a great area, really close to metro station and in a street with many grocery shops ! Pretty quiet for a flat in Paris as it is located to a backyard.
It is easy to find, but not so easy to enter the main door and the door to the flat when you `re not used to it :D
The flat is cozy , a bit small for 4 persons , but ok if you only want to sleep there.
Only negativ thing to say is that the pipe next to the toilet was dropping all the time ( but I think Lisa will fix it soon), that there is few water coming out of the shower and that the whole flat wasn't that clean like it is probably at home :/
Alright for the price and only a few days :)
Emplacement idéal, Lisa est très réactive par mail / sms dès qu'on lui pose une question. Appartement au rapport qualité / prix convenable, attention tout de même à la propreté des lieux (draps, siphon bouché). Très bien pour un week end.
This apartment was great and clean! The location is perfect, a 3-5 minute walk to Jules Joffrin metro and 15 minute walk to the door of Sacré Coeur. Once you're in the metro, you can get anywhere in Paris within 30 minutes. Many cafes, boulangerie, butchers, fromagerie and fresh fruit in the neighbourhood, you don't have to go more than 1 block. Grocery store is right outside the front door.
Unfortunately, we didn't meet Lisa as she was travelling but she was very fast to respond to our emails and professional. She made sure we were comfortable. The wifi/internet wasn't working but Lisa was able to provide us with Paris free internet connection which was limited and worked occasionally. Washer/dryer was very useful!
Overall nice place! Perfect for us (3 guys): 2 shared one big bed. Bathroom separate room. Probably too packed for 2 couples (4ppl). Floors are very loud so most likely everyone will wake up if you use the restroom at night. Lisa was very responsive in questions and had a nice binder for info upon arrival. May need to bring some toiletries. If you want more info please message, but overall had a nice time!
