  • This house is amazingly nice. It has a basement play room with a pool table and dart board, three huge bedrooms, and fully furnished kitchen/living room. The backyard is huge with lots of space to play. I would definitely use it again.

  • The pictures of this house do it no justice it's unreal! We would go back for sure.

  • The Biltmore is a great place to stay---one does need a car, however. The road from Nueva Gorgona to the Biltmore is a bit sketchy as it nears the ocean.
The beach is black and white sand and gets quite hot. This year, there were no huge waves and it was fun to get in the water until the jellyfish showed up, about mid January.
Wind noise can be a problem. During the dry season, the wind can scream down from the mountains. It finds every crack around the windows and can be very noisy. The pool at the Biltmore is a bit small for swimming laps. The social area is very well maintained, however and there is a small fresh herb area for occupants. The owners at the Biltmore are wonderful folks.
Eating out close to the Biltmore is limited. There are some really fun restaurants in the Gorgona area, however.

  • Kathy is extremely responsive and helpful. When we arrived at Villa Mandarina, we realized it wasn't the right place for us (the pictures and description are accurate, but we didn't realize how quiet and isolated Panama can feel compared to the highly developed, crowded and expensive beach towns in the USA). Kathy immediately helped us swap into a condo down the street -- at 6 PM in the evening and at no extra cost -- even though she could have just told us tough luck, as we knew the cancellation policy going in. We loved the place she moved us to, and I'd highly recommend working with her.
