Comfortable, small apartment in a quiet location. Minutes walk from the promenade. 2 grocery shops close by. Perfect for a couple or small family.
All you require is available in the apartment. Towels, hair dryer, microwaves, pots & pans, sun umbrella, maps, wifi & tv. Pack light cause you will have all you need
Great base to visit the north part of the island. Very close to sandy beaches such as Golden Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha Bay, Mellieha bay. Easy access to the islands of Gozo and Comino. Also 30 minutes by bus to St Julian's - the nightlife capital, and Sliema for (website hidden) Paul's Bay itself has a lot to offer, especially for those who love walking, shopping, cafeterias & eating out. We also have a brand new aquarium and water park, both excellent for kids.
I do my best to help my guests. I live close so i am always a few minutes away. My 10 year experience in guest welfare in the hotel sector helps me understand your needs.
Quiet well lit, safe neighbourhood, area is clean. Garbage trucks pass at 8am.
3 bus stops few minutes walk from apartment. Bus transit is the safest and most convenient. Takes a bit longer to get to the destination but way more care free. I do not recommend bikes, motor bikes as Maltese drivers are not accustomed to driving along side to these vehicles.
Water & Electricity, Towels and sheets are included in the price.
Ronald as promised met us at the airport which was great as it was the first time we had been to Malta. Ron gave us the update of where to go and what to do during our stay which was helpful. He stopped at a bakery so we could collect the basics, bread milk etc. and then took us to the apartment. He showed everything we needed to know and left us to our holiday. The internet wasn't working as it had exceeded its limit so be aware if you have vital internet work to be done. There are plenty of places in Buggiba where you can link to the net. The shower cubicle is small(ish) I'm a larger woman, u.k size 18 and had to breath in to get through the shower door (not good when I write it out lol) but if you are a bigger person be aware of this, if you are a u.k. size 16 and under you shouldn't have any issues at all. Everything you need is in the apartment, can get cooler in the evenings but think this is a seasonal thing.! The balcony doesn't get much if any sun, but great for drying clothes, and you are so close to the beach.. The bed was comfy/great . Apartment is basic but this all you need really and keeping it tidy etc is easy. Safe environment as well. The Apartment is great for getting everywhere you need to get to around Malta, the bus stop just down the hill is Anthony and the best way to get around is by Public Transport, buy a weekly ticket it works out cheaper. The little cinema is a delight, and yes it does have an interval, all for only 6 Euro. about 10 min walk from the apartment.
The Maltese people are very welcoming and open which was lovely. If you get stopped by someone who wants to do a questionnaire with you be polite but don't go there its all about time share and can be intimidating. If you want to go to Church whilst there, we found a full Gospel Baptist Church about 15 walk from the Apartment in the Euro Hotel, Sundays 10 - 12:30. check out the internet for more info. All in All great restful break will be going back again. Thank you Ronald for your hospitality. would recommend, read the other reviews but make sure it all about St Jude as Ronald has others. Enjoy. :)
Hi Shelli, thanks for your kindly comments! With regards to the internet, it (email hidden) allowance per month set by the internet company, if it runs out we just recharge it through our profile in a second. Unfortunately I was not informed by you about this, luckily after 3 days into your stay, on the 1st of the month the data was renewed automatically and a new 20gb was recharged. Probably a guest before you was streaming from youtube and used most of the data :)
This was a great little place for 2 people! It was clean, tidy and just what we were looking for to stay in! It's close to the beach and eateries! We really enjoyed our stay!
Excellent value for money. The apartment is as described. I cannot thank Ronald enough for his help. Extremely courteous, helpful and with very good communication throughout.
The apartment is cosy (and warm as it is winter) and well located in Buggiba, its only a few minutes walk to the sea front. There are lots of shops nearby and Scott's (equivalent to Waitrose in the UK) is only a short drive away. If you are not renting a car then there are plenty of buses to take you wherever you want to go.
Being winter there were not that much tourists around which made the hole trip much more interesting as you see Malta in a whole new light. Its a wonderful place to travel.
If you are renting a car, then there is plenty of parking spaces available near the flat. The area surrounding the flat is very nice, quiet and well lit. As with anywhere in Malta, its safe.
Once again, a big thank you to Ronald.
Ronald was an exemplary host. Apart from picking me up and leaving me back to the airport he kept in touch by email throughout my 4-week stay to ensure that everything was ok. The apartment was perfect for me (being on my own) - every facility that might reasonably be expected was there, the bed was particularly comfortable (better than many hotels I've stayed in), and the location was great in terms of convenience to shops, buses, etc. One tip (especially if you are planning to eat in a lot), the two best supermarkets for a big shop and value for money, are PISCOPO's and TROLEES (about 10-12 minute walk). The main cinema in the area is also only 8 minutes walk away (THE EMPIRE). Altogether highly recommended - especially for the kind attention of Ronald. If you are used to hotel fare and want to try being a little more adventurous by doing it on your own - this would be a good place to start.
Thanks again for everything, Ronald. Hope to see you next year.
I recommend Ronald's apartment to all those looking for a nice place to stay in Malta! The apartment is close to the sea front in St. Paul's and a is off the main touristic paths what gives you a great sensation of living in a real place and not in the touristic Disneyland. What I liked the most about the place is that it's so close to 2 terrific restarants with the great view over St. Paul's Bay. Damiano's for all Italian dishes and Portobello for delicious pizza from "forno a legno"!:D You can jump in your sandals and get there in 1 minute! Ronald is a great host. Don't miss his cultural and historical intro of the country! We were lucky enough to hear it on our way from the airport:)))
We spent 10 days with my wife in Malta by Ronald's. He's a really perfect host, who takes care about everything about his guests. He was waiting for us at the airport when arriving, then riding to the apartment he told important peices of information about the island, what's worth to see, what to try, what to take care about, etc...
Telling with one word, our stay at Malta was excellent. Thanks for everything, I hope sometimes we can be back to that lovely island!;)
Ronald was a fantastic host. The apartment was clean and very well equipped with kitchen items and towels. The apartment is on the ground floor at the front of the building but because of the hill it is situated on it has a first floor balcony at the back complete with a clothes drier which was very useful. The air conditioner was very good and we had no problem keeping cool even when the temperature reached 35 degrees.
The location of the apartment is fantastic as it is so close to the sea front where there are numerous bars, restaurants and shops. Also, the snorkelling at the bottom of the hill (near the harbour) is brilliant - so many fish just a couple of metres from the rocks.
Ronald recommended the Portobello restaurant (turn right out of the apartment and it's a 2 minute walk) which was lovely. Very good value and the La Valette white wine was really nice.
We found a lot of things to do in St Paul's Bay including a day trip to Gozo and Comino on the Hornblower boat which was a great way to see the blue lagoon and the islands nearby.
We were considering hiring a car to get around but found the buses to be quite efficient so did not need to. We took the bus to Mosta, Mdina (a must see) and Valleta which were all great places to see.
It was one of the best holidays we've had. Don't hesitate to book with Ronald - the apartment is excellent, Malta is stunning and the people very friendly.
This flat is good value for the money.ronald is great host, who takes care about guests and always is ready to help.
Ronald is very kind and helpfull to visit Malta. The apartement is near the sea, restaurants and cinema!
