This apt is part of the Gun-Ho Lodge in North Conway. Situated on the ground floor, it has its own entrance separate from the main house. Inside there is an entry hall with wall hooks for coats, boots, skis, and storage of gear.
The apartment is a large "L" shape with a queen bed, twin bed, and sleep on sofa, dining table w/chairs, fully equipped kitchen and a full bath. Cable and wi-fi included. Heated by a wood stove which keeps the apartment cozy and warm on the coldest of days.
From the apartment door, it is less than a 10 minute walk to Mt. Cranmore's lift lines! Also a 10 minute walk to North Conway village, restaurants and 5 minute drive to Settlers Green tax free shopping.
Interaction with Guests
Guest interaction is limited due to this being an apartment, not a room in the main lodge area. There is no breakfast included as it has its own kitchen facilities.
We are in the heart of the Mt Washington Valley with easy access to restaurants, shopping, swimming, skiing, hiking etc..
Thank you Cheryl and Miguel! What a great spot! A cabin feel close to everything. Wonderfully clean and comfortable. We loved it!
The apartment is well located and furnished. Cheryl and Miguel are very warm and friendly. We truly enjoyed the yummy pumpkin and cinnamon cake that Cheryl baked and gave us on the day of our arrival.
Cheryl and Miguel are great hosts. We arrived very late in the evening, and they gave us directions over the phone very patiently. They also gave us good tips on where to go and where to eat. We followed their advice and spent two amazing days in the area. The apartment is neat, very clean, and has its own style. Actually the entire house is very charming! Location of the house/apartment is very good as well - just a few minutes' drive to everything you need. The only thing we hope can be better is the noise coming from top of the bedroom in the morning. The apartment is on the ground/base floor of the house. If someone gets up early in the morning and move around in the living room, it could be a bit disturbing to people who stay in the apartment. But overall we enjoyed out stay in Cheryl and Miguel's place. We will definitely recommend to friends who plan the same trip to White Mountains.
People out they were welcoming when we got there and helpful with recommendations.
Cheryl and Miguel were extremely kind, gracious hosts. Arrival time was flexible and when we arrived in the late evening, Cheryl was outside waiting to direct us in parking our car and about all features and amenities of the space. After filling us in on where to find everything (including tricky light switch locations!) Cheryl left us to get settled and enjoy our stay. On check out Miguel and Cheryl both came out to see us off and ensure we had all we needed. They were both wonderful, as was the apartment, and we would definitely stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay at the Gun-Ho Lodge. Accommodations were what we expected and the hosts are very friendly.
Excellent location - convenient to everything we wanted in the North Conway / White Mountain region yet far enough removed for a little peace and quiet.
Cheryl and Miquel were excellent hosts. We were met upon arrival, shown our accommodations and invited up for a beer - an excellent start to our stay.
Although we remained very busy during our brief 4-day visit, Cheryl and Miquel were readily available at all times. Our efficiency apartment was perfect for our stay offering plenty of room. Having a full kitchen was very convenient for us as well.
The next time we are in the North Conway area, we will definitely look to stay with Cherly and Miquel.

Originally from Boston, Ma., we have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad before settling in North Conway, N.H. in 2004. Our interests range from travel, sailing, kayaking, hiking and basically outdoor activities of all kinds. Cheryl is an avid reader with a psychology background and is happy in the galley preparing great meals. Miguel is a "hands on" person with a construction background from climbing industrial chimneys to project managing communication network installs at Kennedy Space Center. For the past 15 years our main interest has been sailing our 32' Down East cutter rig sail boat in the Caribbean, and traveling where and when we can by land, air, or sea. Meeting and getting to know people and their cultures and customs as we travel is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
