Ashland offers 2 delicious breweries, not to mention many more throughout the Rogue Valley. The wine tasting is also a true indulgence, with a few wineries right in town, and several wineries between Ashland and up through the Applegate Valley (less than an hour's drive). Water sports are also abundant, with beautiful mountain lakes to relax or maybe rafting the Rogue River is more your speed. If you want to take in a surf session, getting to the coast is also a nice day trip, through redwood tree groves.
Interaction with Guests
We are very happy to host you in our cottage. Just let us know how we can make your stay most enjoyable.
The cottage provided everything my friend and I needed to make our rendezvous in Ashland wonderful. I especially appreciated having two comfortable sleeping spaces that were completely separated so our snoring was never a problem. The kitchen area provided everything we needed for long conversations over tea/coffee, breakfast, and some dinners. The central location made it convenient to walk to either the university or town for plays, restaurants, and shopping. My future visits to Ashland will be when this cottage is available!
This cottage is private, quiet, clean, comfortable, warm, and welcoming. The location can't be beat. I loved the amenities including lotion, shampoo, bath salts, washer, dryer, etc. Chris and Amy were incredibly responsive, generous, and welcoming.
Amy welcomed us soon after our arrival and all was as she had told us it would be... only much better! The cottage was well stocked with everything from bedding to kitchen ware and everything was spotlessly clean. There was wine and bagels and cheese in the refrigerator for us. Everything was super comfortable and quiet. Their dogs that she had said might bark only did so in the day, not at night, and we were seldom there daytime. They were super cute and friendly little dogs. We plan to reserve now for next year's trip to Ashland. The cottage is walking distance to everything. Wow! We were thrilled with the whole experience.
We had a delightful time at Maggie's Cottage. It's extremely convenient to downtown Ashland, and although it's on a busy street, the cottage is in the back of the property and extremely quiet. We loved it!

THANKS FOR THE GREAT TIME,
DON & VICKI ALLEN
Chris and Amy were welcoming. They greeted us separately as we were all traveling in and out from activities and outings. There were some yummy culinary treats awaiting us in the fridge. We felt quite at home and found the cottage to be as described. It is a bit further out than we have stayed in the past, but still easily walkable to downtown restaurants, theater and shops. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The cottage was lovely, very bright & cheerful. It was easy to walk to town & enjoy the great restaurants in Ashland. If our stay had been longer, I'm sure we would've enjoyed preparing a great meal in the well stocked kitchen. Also, within 15 minutes walking of the theaters & the plaza.
There is a binder with maps & information on the area which was quite helpful.
The hostess was very kind to offer to send back an item that we forgot.
Having lived in Ashland for going on 4 years now, we cannot imagine living any where else. We are avid mountain bikers and road cyclists and can recommend to you all of the best trails and gorgeous road rides you can imagine. In the winters, we enjoy most weekends up at Mt. Ashland ski resort enjoying amazing powder days, friends and local microbrews. Speaking of microbrews, Ashland offers 2 delicious breweries, not to mention many more throughout the Rogue Valley. The wine tasting is also a true indulgence, with a few wineries right in town, and several wineries between Ashland and up through the Applegate Valley (less than an hour's drive). Water sports are also abundant, with beautiful mountain lakes to relax or maybe running the Rogue River is more your speed. If you want to take in a surf session, getting to the coast is also a nice day trip, through redwood tree groves.
