  • I will be back! This is a wonderful place to stay and explore the White Mountains. I enjoyed both Cheryl and Miguel very much and felt right at home. Best to the both of you for your own travels, hope you are always blessed with respectful guests!

  • Another wonderful weekend in the White Mountains and with Cheryl and Miguel. We were greeted with warm hugs and a cozy fire! We were busy (enjoying the peak foliage) and didn't get too much time to spend with them, but our time over breakfast was enjoyed greatly. It was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend their lodge for your travels in the area!

  • I can’t thank Cheryl and Miguel enough for their exceptional warmth and hospitality. During my stay in New Hampshire, they really went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. Miguel made me healthy breakfast every morning, took his time to show me around White Mountains and highlighted all the best things to see along the scenic drives. It was also very nice of him to offer to drive me to the summit of Mount Washington and show me all the trails he has hiked. I certainly couldn't forget the moment when Cheryl skillfully cooked delicious chicken stir fry and shared the food with me. I enjoyed our conversations at the dining table or by the fireplace and often found myself fascinated by the stories of their sailing adventures. The ski lodge was more beautiful than I expected. The lodge was thoughtfully built and decorated with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, wooden stairs and hanging plants. The room was clean, cozy, and nothing was better than waking up to a beautiful view of fall foliage outside the windows. I had a wonderful stay at Gun-Ho Lodge and will treasure the time I spent with Cheryl and Miguel. They are the best hosts you can have. I will definitely recommend their place to anyone going to White Mountains.

Thanks Mai, hope your well. Cheryl & I are off to Florida and the boat in a few days. Take care of yourself and hope to meet again.

  • Cheryl & Miguel were great hosts. We stayed with them for two nights. We made sure that it was ok to bring our baby son with us. The room was just big enough for the two of us and the travel cot and the babies food. It's not the best place for a little crawling baby but it worked out fine. The lodge is a great base for trips in the White Mountains and Cheryl and Miguel gave us good recommendations for our trips. The breakfast Cheryl made was delicious! Definitely a place to recommend!

  • Cheryl, was a pleasant host with a welcoming/relaxing home. She has a great location near the Pinkham Notch trailhead to climb Mt. Washington.

  • Cheryl & Miguel are great hosts. They have a beautiful home, very warm and welcoming, we had a very good experience, everything we needed was in the room. I would highly recommend their place as a home away from home.

  • Cheryl and Miguel were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Their home is beautiful, charming and peaceful and was a great place to rest after a hard day hiking Mt. Washington! They gave us great recommendations on local dining and attractions as well. We're just sorry our stay was only one night!

  • Our stay at Cheryl and Miguel's house was as cozy as what a home should be and as relaxing as what a vacation should be. It was truly pleasant experience for all of us.

About
Originally from Boston, Ma., we have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad before settling in N. Conway, N.H. in 2004. Our interests range from travel, sailing, kayaking, hiking and basically outdoor activities of all kinds. Cheryl is an avid reader with a psychology background and is happy in the galley preparing great meals. Miguel is a "hands on" person with a construction background from climbing industrial chimneys to project managing communication network installs at Kennedy Space Center. For the past 15 years our main interest has been sailing our 32' Down East cutter rig sail boat in the Caribbean, and traveling where and when we can by land, air, or sea. Meeting and getting to know people and their cultures and customs as we travel is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
