Tons of sun in this 2 bedroom 2 bath Penthouse in the East Village. Every comfort you can imagine including in-unit laundry and a dishwasher. Great for staying in, but perfectly located to go to all the wine bars, speak easies and comedy clubs.
Live on what Time Out New York called "the New Yorkiest block in New York."
This gorgeous 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment is more spacious than most in the area, both in the bedrooms on either end and in the living room which has a double high ceiling and expansive skylights.
Always sunny, this apartment also has a finished wood roof deck and exclusive use of the entire roof, great for smokers! Wonderful for sipping wine, or simply marveling at the beauty of the Empire State Building and the Williamsburg Bridge.
Never wait in line for the bathroom as this apartment has two full baths, one is even en suite in the rear bedroom which overlooks a private courtyard garden.
This apartment can sleep up to four comfortably.
Additional amenities include:
50" flat-screen LCD TV with local channels (no cable),
DVD collection and player,
air-conditioners in summer, well-heated in winter,
fresh linens and towels,
Laundry (washer and dryer in bathroom),
The apartment will be clean at your arrival. Included in the small cleaning fee are fresh linens and towels at your arrival, detergent for the dishwasher and laundry, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner, coffee, some breakfast bars, and candy.
The East Village is full of great bars, restaurants and coffee shops. If you need a break from the constant excitement, Tompkin's Square Park is only half a block away! Washington Square Park and Union Square Park are also walking distance. If you want to ride the subway, you are ideally situated between the L, 6, N, Q, and F trains, all an easy 10 minute walk away.
This is a great location for visiting NYU, the New School, or Cooper Union; or even for a weekend shopping excursion, you are steps away from some of the best boutiques in the city.
I live in town and am readily available to field any and all of your concerns, (even if that's just advice on which wine bar or artisanal ice cream shop is best). I can generally be at the place within an hour and there is also a superintendant for any repair needs.
This apartment is on the 4th floor of a walk-up building, that means you will get some exercise, but it's worth it for the views. If members of your party might have problems with stairs, this may not be the place for you.
Smoking is allowed ON THE ROOF DECK ONLY! Please respect my space and the smell of my stuff.
I am flexible with luggage storage after the 11 am check-out, anything you need help with, just ask.

Carrie has a fantastic place in the East Village. The location couldn't be better - walking distance to so many of our favourite neighbourhoods and great food and shops right outside the door. The place is very clean and surprisingly quite at night. Carrie was also very responsive and great to deal with. We hope to be back again soon.
Carrie's block is the best! We loved staying in a real neighborhood with plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries, etc. The apartment is tiny but was sufficient for our stay because who stays in when you're in NYC? Beds were comfortable and the front bathroom door not closing was not a huge issue. It was a great base for two adult couples. Our only downside was that it takes the hot water a good five minutes to get up to the fifth floor. We had to let it run for awhile. Everything else went smoothly.
We spend one week at Carrie’s place in NYC. Even though we couldn’t use the roof terrace due tot he cold weather we really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable apartment. Carrie is a great host and helped whenever we had a problem. The apartment is in a really nice location with a lot of bars and good restaurants in the neighborhood. Thus, I definitely recommend Carrie’s place.
We had a lovely stay in Carries apartment even though the wheather in nyc was cold and snowy. We were 2 couples staying for 7 days, and the spacious flat with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms suited us well. Great wifi, candy included and lots of fresh towels and bed linens. And carrie herself helped us out when our flight back to sweden was delayed. Big thanx! Warly recommended, this place in cosy LES.
The apartment is fantastic and Carrie was a great hostess. We landed very late, but Carrie (and some friends!) were ready to meet us at the apartment and show us around. The location is unbeatable, the bedrooms are a good size and the roof terrace is an awesome feature. We had a great stay and I'd highly recommend Carrie's apartment to friends visiting NYC.

My wife and I stayed here with another young couple for just 2 nights and it was perfect. Incredible neighborhood! Highly recommend Black Market which is a half block away for food/drinks. Wish we had more time here and will no doubt stay here in the future. It just felt like home right away. The climb up the stairs was worth it for the rooftop deck and being away from street noise. This was our first AirBnB experience ever and Carrie's place assured that we will be using for every trip going forward. Cheers!
I had meetings in SoHo and so Carrie's place was a terrific location. As others have mentioned, be prepared for the stairs and also for the bathroom door in the bedroom not quite closing (email hidden)-arranging. But overall very positive experience. Carrie was very responsive in getting us an extra set of keys and addressing minor issues. I highly recommend!
Carrie was great, checking in on us to make sure we got in ok and that the apartment was in order. The location is within 1/2 mile to several subway stops, which made all of Manhattan easily accessible.
Two minor criticisms are the shower had a little mildew and the room with the king bed was really tight to move around in with our suitcases. You can barely open the door to the bathroom. Turns out the king bed is actually two twin matresses that can be collapsed into a twin bed, so we reconfigured the bed and were good to go after that.
Overall, it was a good value and we'd stay again.
