Charming and lovingly furnished, little wooden house. It is surroundet by a beautiful subtropical garden overlooking the sea on the outskirts of a village in north-west of the island. You find rest an d peace here.
The house is equipped with a double bed, fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Also you can use the wireless internet service.
Walks. to Sete Cidades and Mosteiros are possible out of the front door at once.
We help to find out the special beauty of São Miguel with insider tips and suggestions, car reservations, flight booking ect.
You also can use the big garden and there are almost always herbs or vegetables which I like to offer.
My guests always have the possibility to talk with me if there are questions.
And the privacy of the guests is respected.
There is a bus stop on the main street (footpath of 10 minutes)
We absolutely loved our stay in this pretty little hut. It was so cosy and had absolutely everything you needed. The hosts Christina and Frank were great and they had thought about lots of little touches to make your stay more enjoyable. Fresh cut flowers from the garden, two cold beers in the fridge (I don't know if they were left by a previous guest), bbq packed with charcoal ready to go. All really welcome attention to detail.
The garden is sheltered from the breeze and whilst we we there, it seemed to get some of the best weather on the island. Whilst sitting out on the little balcony we even saw a whale - it couldn't have been more perfect!
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Arcadia. The small wooden house is absolutely adorable, the perfect size for one or two people wishing to get away from the main tourist centers of Sao Miguel. The house has a very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and the kitchen is perfectly stocked with everything you need. The WiFi is working (I mention this only because a previous reviewer said it was not, but we were the first to use it). In addition to the house itself, the Casa Arcadia offers a private yard gated off from the main house as well as beautiful ocean views. Christinia and Frank were wonderful hosts and always had great advice for places to visit.
Beautiful, romantic, little wooden house. It feels like Asia in Europe. Christina and Frank are lovely hosts as well.
Wirklich sehr nette Leute!
Also was will man sagen: Wir würden jederzeit unseren Urlaub wieder dort verbringen!
We had a great time in this lovely wooden house, equipped with everything needed. The house was created to be the perfect vacation home for people that love nature and like to relax. The surrounding was a wunderfull garden with view to the ocean. Christina and Frank are very friendly and welcoming. We can definitely recommend this place!
This cottage was absolutely gorgeous, with amazing views of the ocean and incredible amenities including a recently renovated shower/bathroom and oven. Christina and her husband, Frank, were very helpful - they supplied us with food from their garden for dinner our first night, called us a taxi on our last morning, and drew us a map to Mosteiros showing us how to walk along the volcano view and the ocean view routes. The bed was very comfortable and we were really provided with everything we needed, from pots and pans to silverware to towels.
From the cottage, it was about an hour long walk to the rim of Sete Cidades (all uphill, but more than worth it!). The walk to Mosteiros takes about 2 1/2 hours - there are buses as well, although they do not run very frequently.
The one minor issue we had is that WiFi is advertised, but there was no WiFi. However, Christina let us use the internet in her house to check on the status of our flights, so it was not a problem.
Overall highly recommend.
