About this listing
Beautifully sunny and spacious artist/dancer Apartment in the centre of hip Neuköln! Has sunny balcony, bathtub and a dance-pole. Located right near the Canal and all the cool shops & cafés, yet quiet on the third floor. 10min on the U8 to Mitte.
Hello Berlin Visitors,
I am renting out my beloved apartment on Hobrechtstrasse, the centre of ubercool Neukölln or Kreuzkölln as it is often called.
Some facts about this lovely pad:
It is an older style apartment with wooden floorboards and two beautiful vintage ovens. I am very happy that it has not yet been "modernized", like most of the other apartments in the area.
The apartment has a medium sized bedroom with a double bed (please note that the mattress is on the soft side of hard). There will be enough space for your clothes and things to be hung and stored.
The bedroom opens up to a lovely little balcony with two chairs and a table where you can enjoy the sun from midday until evening.
The kitchen has all the appliances you need and seats 2 people comfortably (there are chairs for more people). From the kitchen you also get to the little washing-machine-room.
The bathroom is small, which is typical for these kind of Berlin flats, but has a bathtub/shower and everything else you need.
The spacious and light living room has a little sofa-lounge next to the oven and a dance-pole that you can try on own responsibility. The sofa lounge also functions as a double-mattress/futon for additional guests. There is a reading area by the window and a desk. In the living room is also the TV with DVD and stereo and of course wifi.
I will provide you with towels, linen and bedding to use and cool insider tips for this very hip and fun part of town.
Some info on the neighborhood:
If you have been looking for a place to stay in that part of town it is probably because you have already heard or read that this is the place to be if you like a lively, bohemian, hip and colorful neighborhood. On the streets you hear Turkish, Spanish, various Englishs, Hebrew, Arabic....oh and German of course. It is a fun and friendly mix of cultures with a big splash of artistic, alternative and bohemian lifestyles. A friend once said: "This feels like New York back when it was cool." ;) You may agree with it or not but I have yet to meet a person (young or old) who has not fallen for this area immediately.
Because despite all the liveliness it is yet quiet and lacks any big city noise. There are numerous playgrounds around the corner, the Landwehrcanal is 3 minutes away as is the turkish market, that sells fresh products tuesdays and fridays. The U8 that runs directly to Alexanderplatz is 5 min. walking distance, same goes for numerous supermarkets and stores.
And the BEST icecream in town is found 5 minutes away!
This is not a good place for parties, last but not least because my landlord just lives next door to my flat :)
Of course you can invite friends over for drinks and dinners but parties should be had in one of the numerous fantastic clubs, bars and places that this city has on offer!
Nice, light and pretty quiet apartment in a really vibrant neighborhood, convenient to street market, U-Bahn and many coffee, (smoking) bar and restaurant options. Everything is small but functional, typical for this part of Berlin. We enjoyed staying here even if the neighborhood is perhaps more targeted at a younger (20s / 30s) crowd.
Eva's apartment couldn't be more centrally located. It's smack in the middle of the most interesting area of Neukölln. If one likes to have nice cafés, cool bars and an assortment of different kinds of restaurants closeby then I would definitely recommend the apartment. And one can easily do excursions around the town from the apartment as the Schönleinstrasse U-Bahnstation is only 250 meters away. The apartment itself is quite cool. I would describe it as an old berliner-type of an apartment that definitely has its charms. You find everything you need in the apartment: Fast wlan-connection, stereos, espressomaker, washing machine and a fully-equipped kitchen. The balcony that gives out to Hobrechtstraße is brilliant. And the apartment is really quiet although it is situated in an area full of bars and the human action that goes with it. All in all Eva's apartment is very cosy and one feels oneself immediately at home. I couldn't have been more happier in the apartment.
I had a wonderful time in Eva's apartment! She was an excellent host, very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The apartment itself was very spacious, sunny and had everything we needed. The location is perfect for a look into the coolest part of Berlin.
I would definitely recommend his place!
