The space

Secluded and furnished/equipped camping-style cabin located within Buenaventura Eco-Park, on the border of Los Quetzales National Park and on the edge of a majestic clear-water mountain river (Division River). Great for families, volunteers, honeymooners, researchers (biologists/anthropologists), artists, authors, and folks on sabbatical. It is also perfect for vacationers wanting to really soak in the rural farming culture and rainforest and looking to experience the Costa Rican rural countryside away from tourists. This is a 100% no artificial ingredients, back-to-nature type of place owned by a Central American-U.S. family currently working in the United States.

The cabin is located between the towns of El Llano and El Brujo, on the southern border of the Los Quetzales National Park, which has 150,000 acres of premontane, montane and cloud forest and about 50 ft. There are beautiful gardens and organic fruit trees on the 2.5 acre yard.

This destination is especially great for families with children since there are children to play with on the nearby farms and ample space to run around. There's even a soccer field on the property and there are waterfalls less than 15 min. hike up nearby creeks within the Buenaventura Ecological Park & Reserve (additional day pass fee at half price applies*)

Sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 small children. For family bed type families, the two twin mattresses can be arranged together so that it is like one large king size bed.

There is a gas stove for cooking, an outdoor shower, an outhouse and solar charged lighting.

Equipped with an outdoor shower, sink, kitchenette with gas stove and outhouse.

We will make sure you have tents to sleep in within the cabin (tents are optional but help keep the bugs completely out of sleeping area), linens, dishes, towels, an cooler and a solar charged light, as well as a list of what fresh produce and farm products are available to purchase next door at Three Seeds Organic Farm (i.e. fresh milk, cheese, etc.)

Organic meals, organic produce and dairy products can be purchased next door (3 min. walk), at Three Seeds Farm.

Three Seeds Farm and nearby Buenaventura Eco-Lodge also offer guided tours into the jungle, organic gardening workshops, educational, cultural and ecological activities, volunteer opportunities, horseback riding, as well as additional lodging options. They also offer laundry service, childcare, electrical recharge station, phone, wifi, and hot showers/baths. Did I already mention the AMAZING homegrown organic meals?

Please contact us directly before booking this cabin so we can assure availability as calendar is not always up to date.

The Organic Tico Bungalow and the food and the people are wonderful. I recommend Kimberly's place highly. Be sure to bring a lantern for the bungalow .... and plan to eat very well from the garden.

Last minute we had to cancel our stay due to unexpected circumstances. Communication was great, though. We really regret we could not go!
