Description

The space

Amazing apartment on one of the top floors (39th) of The Hague Tower. There are four similar apartments on this floor, this is housenumber 772.

Central location next to HS station. The city centre is within walking (10mins) distance. Living room with bedroom, open kitchen and bathroom with fluffy towels. Perfect for a night or longer stay in The Hague, your own skyscraper apartment!

The tower also includes a business lounge with free access, a basic fitness facility (free entrance) and a luxury restaurant, The Penthouse. The building is an enlarged copy of New York city's flat iron building.

This apartment is fully furnished and is on AirBnB as part of of a test to see how the apartments on these floors could be furnished and how guests from different countries like them. The only requirement in return of the low price asked is that you write a short but honest review after your stay.

I am an advertising and event consultant. I live in the centre of The Hague, The Netherlands and really enjoy traveling. I run the restaurant on the top floors of the tower. This apartment was meant for my staff, but is not being used at the moment.

I have enjoyed AirBnB like hospitality in many countries, so now it's time to return the favor. Welcome!

This was our second stay at one of Elwin's apartments, and if available will still be our preferred place to stay when visiting The Hague. We had booked the same apartment as before (772) but on check in they gave us the keys for 773. We were not told about the change at check-in, so we went back down to verify and were told that whoever was staying in 772 wanted to extend their stay. So this review is for 773. The apartment was bigger than 772 but there was a giant crane hovering literally right outside the window, so we called it a wash as far as the change went. The apartment was very spacious and quiet, clean, great views, convenient location to the train station and trams, and an excellent value for the space/view. Make sure you print out Elwin's tips ahead of time with wifi info/etc. Since we had stayed before, I didn't bother and then realized when we arrived that there wasn't any of this information in the apartment. We had to return downstairs to ask them for the wifi password, as we also weren't sure which phone number was for the check-in desk. It's also not listed anywhere in the apartment, but it is suggested that you put your dishes in the dishwasher and start it before you leave. Ours had dirty dishes in the washer, but we're guessing the previous guest didn't realize the cleaning crew wouldn't run the dishwasher. There were 2 dishwasher pods, a couple of dish towels, a tiny bit of dish soap, a few coffee pods for the machine, a few tea bags with sugar and milk packets, 1 bath towel and 1 smaller towel per person (we ended up using one of the smaller towels as a bathmat), the main bathroom had some basic hotel-size toiletries provided and an extra roll of toilet paper. Unlike most airbnb apartments we've stayed at, there were not any items that appeared to be left by previous guests on either stay. Usually we find some laundry soap, salt, pepper, open olive oil, etc., and buy and leave what is lacking or what we use up. And on both stays we left a fairly full bottle of laundry detergent after our stay, but neither apartments had any of these items in them. So be aware you may want to either bring small amounts of these type items from home, or know that you'll likely be needing to buy these types of items when you get there.
