BECAUSE OF THE IMPENDING ISSUES THIS WINTER, WITH COVID AND THE OMICRON VARIANT, I AM NOT WILLING TO HAVE UNVACCINATED GUESTS STAY. THANK YOU.
Hello! My name is Camilla. I am originally from Washington DC but have lived all over the world—Spain, England, France, Germany, Okinawa, San Francisco, Seattle—to name a few.
I have retired from my job as a Proposal Developer with a nationwide medical staffing company. I earned my BFA at Goddard College at the age of 62--a life-long goal, finally achieved.
I have two children—a son who lives in Houston with his wife and baby daughter, and a daughter who has just become a physician and will be moving to Louisville, Kentucky, to begin her internship with her husband, an IT professional.
I am an avid reader and belong to two book clubs. I am slowly beginning to enjoy gardening. I go to an exercise class for old ladies like me, and a yoga class. Absolutely love music of all kinds, especially blues, rock and Latino.
Twenty-eight years ago we moved to Howard County to raise our family, and we never left. The countryside is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. As you can see from my photos, the view from my front door is truly rural Maryland at its best.
Sykesville was just named The Coolest Small Town in America. It is also one of the safest. The businesses are independently owned. There are four unique clothing stores, a great book store, and an excellent hair salon. There are five small restaurants, including a creperie, a sports bar, a higher-end eatery which is a converted train station, a wine bar, and a deli. We have a farmer’s market every Sunday morning, just off Main Street. It is a wonderful place to live.
I would love to have you stay with me and experience Sykesville, as I do every day.
Welcome!
