Large Private Bedroom is available to spend the night or week. The bedroom room has queen size bed to keep your comfort, coffee table, 2 lounge chairs and 50 inch flat screen TV with free unlimited movie selection on Netflix. The Subway/Metro trains F and G at Church Ave or B and Q at Beverly Rd takes you to Manhattan in about 30 mins or to Brighton Beach in about 20 mins. Twenty four hours stores in the area. Please no smokers.
The street parking is close to impossible when we arrived at about 8pm as it is a densely populated area. We struggled cos we had quite a bit of luggage. The life lobby area and corridors are rundown and have a stench which might be less forgiving in summer. The room's window cant be shut completely so it gets cold at night and when the wind blows against the blinds the noise goes on throughout the night. I don't know if its a seedy area but police sirens were often heard at least once in an hour even past midnight. He had friends in and out so the toilet situation was tricky.
Antonin is a polite guy and granted us late check out till 7 pm. Check in is only possible after 6 pm.
I think this property is overpriced for its quality.
Had a great stay over New Years at Antonin's place. We had a good time and Antonin was very easy going and flexible!
Antonin is a good guy, very attentive and kind. We had a late check in, after 11 p.m. And he was waiting for us. The room is large, bed is comfortable. Thanks for everything.
Staying here was amazing! The location is really residential and very close to the subway, which was perfect for me! Beyond the great place, Antonin is the coolest guy you're going to meet. He was so accommodating and was always available to help you navigate wherever you were going....
Antonin was a great host and his place was terrific. Late meetings and a dinner commitment meant that I had to check in late. Antonin was extremely accommodating about the situation and couldn't have been more easygoing about it. The room is as advertised: big, clean, comfortable, well-appointed. I'd be glad to stay with Antonin again.
Antonin's place was exactly as it looked in the photo's. He was helpful with recommendations of places to go. I was out much of the time i was there so we didn't really hang out much but had a few chats here and there.
Nice guy, who was really understanding when I woke him up at 3am as my key wouldn't open the door.
I liked the apartment and the room. The kitchen wasn't unclean, but wasn't sparkling either, is the only constructive feedback i'd give, otherwise a great place to stay.
The apartment location was about 4-5 mins from the Subway and a good line to get into Manhatten. Brooklyn is obviously Brooklyn so it does take a bit longer to get to the touristy bits but that's why the apartment was a good price.
Antonin's place is great. Clean, huge bedroom and it's exactly like the pictures. Subway station is about 5 min walk and the neighborhood is very quiet. I certainly recomend this place.
Gabriela and Rodrigo (Chile).
Antonin was amazing. The room was large and spacious equipped with Netflix. His house was nice and quiet and very clean. I enjoyed my stay. Great neighborhood as well.
My experience at Antonin's place was awesome! He's a great guy and he was very helpful giving me lots of tips like places to eat close to the apartment as well as a cab number to JFK.
The bedroom is exactly as in the picture, huge, clean and nice! Everything working well - Air Conditioner, ceiling fan.
Bathroom and shower very clean!
I loved my stay at Antonin's place and I do recommend it to everyone!
Thanks a lot Antonin! =D
Tony was a very generous, welcoming host and a nice, hands-off guy who gave us plenty of personal space. Most New Yorkers live in small spaces, and while the kitchen, parlor, and bathroom were par for the course size-wise for Brooklyn, the room itself was enormous and sunny. My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights, and it felt as if we were living in a penthouse loft.
The apartment and the Kensington neighborhood in general were quiet and safe, and had a sleepy, 1940s-1950s vibe (turn-of-the-century apartment buildings but also foursquare style houses).. This was a welcome respite to the hipster enclaves you typically find north of the Williamsburg Bridge.
