This is just futon setup in Makiki neighborhood which is half way between downtown and Waikiki. Cheap rent at the heart of the action.
We have 1 cat on site so there may be some cat hair. This is just a (website hidden) type setup.
This is a small simple place to crash after a long day on the beach. This unit does NOT have air conditioning. Property manager is on site. The futon folds out into a bed. The apartment is located above shops on busy South King st, which is a busy 5 lane road, and its close to many restaurants. Like most of Honolulu the apartment is fairly noisy, due to king st traffic, but its just the drone of traffic mostly you can tune it out. Easy walking distance to 3 different supermarkets, plus super walmart and Sams wholesale club. All of these are roughly 3 blocks away or less.
Includes wireless Internet, Coffee maker, microwave. 1 restroom is shared. There are generally between 3 and 4 other house mates. There is no parking on site so this is best suited for someone who will be on foot. There is some free street parking but it can be challenging to find at times.
The apartment is near S. King st at Keeaumoku.
King st in on the number 1 and number 2 bus route (very good bus access to Waikiki, etc..) Its about 40 min walk to Waikiki beach, but you can walk to Ala Moana beach and Magic Island beach park in about 20 minutes. You can rent surf boards in Waikiki. Most people do not consider this location close enough to walk to the beach with a surf board, but its possible.
Although this listing does not include a room (just a couch) we may have a private room available. Ideally we would be looking for longer term weekly renters (4 weeks or more is ideal).
The $50 cleaning deposit is totally non-refundable. The $150 deposit will be returned when you check out in accordance with airbnb terms.
To find the best bus route from the airport yourself please visit (website hidden) ~ You might decide take the 19 to downtown and then walk here from King st. A cab is around $35
Futon, restroom, large shower, large sink, microwave, coffee maker.
This is really a small place. Its a place to sleep only and we'd like it if you were out and about exploring Hawaii most of the time. There is not living room nor any place to "hang out" all day here.
Although the property manager lives here social interaction would be kept to a minimum at the house. Everyone works full time. However there is often an opportunity to go out for dinner or drinks on weekends.
Makiki is the commercial district with lots of shops that people need including hardware stores, walmart, grocery stores. Our neighborhood is in the Korean district.
The number 1 and number 2 stop right outside. We also have a community bicycle you can use. Also this is a great place to be on foot, you can walk anywhere from downtown to waikiki in 30 minutes.
No tobacco smoking or drugs anywhere on the property. This includes parking lot. There are businesses and state law forbids it. Besides it annoys the other tenants because the smoke smell from the lanai will permeate the whole building if the wind is blowing wrong. So this is a DEFINITELY no smoking allowed setup - thanks.

Excellent location. Nestled between Downtown and Waikiki and close to several great restaurants, bars and grocery stores. Justin is friendly and a great host - even took me surfing to diamond head! Would definitely stay here again.
Can't be better than this place in Honolulu. The only problem is the traffic but it has really convenient bus system.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I stayed at Justin place for a couple of days. The apartment is close to the highway so I guess if you have a car, that is great. Otherwise it is a little noisy, down at the pool though you can forget about everything, relax and you probably have it to yourself.
Great location. Great Host, and certainly one of the best value due to the location!
Justin was a great host and the setup was accommodating. A good, basic setup for the traveler looking for a cheap place to crash in order to explore Honolulu. Neighborhood is fine and is within walking or bus distance to just about any major Honolulu attraction.
