London Bridge Station is both an underground (tube) and overground station that provides excellent access to London. It is on the Jubilee Line which is the only line to connect to all others. Very convenient. You can also walk to Tower Bridge (the famous draw bridge) and the Tower of London, the historic HMS Belfast, London Dungeons and the river Thames of course! The House of Parliament, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace are a 10 minute tube journey, as it Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Soho.
Other Things to Note
If you would like to use the washer or dryer, we charge a £5 surcharge for each appliance as they are expensive to use. (This is how we keep our cleaning fee down to a minimum for guests).
It is with regret that we cannot accommodate more than two people for the room.
We cannot accommodate parties or gatherings for private events as we live in the apartment and this will not be suitable.
We have underfloor heating throughout the apartment (both upstairs and downstairs) to keep the temperature comfortable. However, in the bedroom there are three large floor to ceiling windows, but they don't open (due to restrictions from the landlord). There is a vent that is left open and we provide one large fan and two mini bedside fans next to the bed for comfort. However, we have reflected this in our price as it is very competitive for the (very expensive to live!) location.
We are pretty relaxed, but we try to avoid wearing shoes upstairs as the area is carpeted.
Please set the alarm when leaving the flat if no-one is in.
Smoking is prohibited in the flat, but you can smoke outside of the front door.

Claire was amazing! The flat was gorgeous and in a fantastic location. Communication was fantastic and very easy to figure everything out. Claire even had bathrobes and slippers for us and had breakfast ready for us in the morning! Amazing experience! Highly recommend!
CLaire and Nick are wonderful host. Thier flat is exactly what they describe. Continental Breakfast was on the table daily. Room and area very clean. Location to the tube is a 10 minute walk. A 30 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride to the Towers of London. For those tourist familiar with Big bus tours. That stop on same street as the tube. This was awesome. Great expirience
Claire have sent us a very detail welcome pack pdf long before we arrived in London. Check-in was smoothly even nobody at home at the time since Claire had provided clear instructions to get the keys and get in the apartment. Our room was clean and tidy as what the photos shows. The neighbourhood Bermondsey is lovely and have lots of interesting restaurants and cafes. South Bank (More London/Hay's Galleria) just 10 minutes walk away and definitely worth spend few hours in the morning or before sunset. London Bridge tube station is quite close, there are also bus stations within 400 metres. Beware that there is no openable window in the bedroom, so you might need to leave your door open and fan turned on all night, especially during hot days.
What a fantastic stay! Claire was a gracious and welcoming host, and her flat is exactly as described. It was easy to coordinate our arrival, the room was well furnished, the bathrooms sparkling, and the neighborhood is quiet and lovely. While we spent lots of time out enjoying the city, it was great to come back to friendly faces at the flat. There was a terrific breakfast laid out for us by the time we woke up, and probably the best surprise was the stack of extra little towels in the bathroom for us! Very handy to have a cool wet towel handy after being out on a hot day. The room would get a little warm on a June afternoon, but there were a few fans at the ready to cool it down. All and all, it was a great experience in a great area, and this will be one of the places I recommend to others heading to London.
Our stay with Claire was excellent! She was a very gracious host. We had an excellent stay with her. Her friend Stewart and brother were very helpful. They couldn't have done anything more to make your stay great.
Staying with Claire is a cross between staying in a 4-Star Hotel and staying with your long-lost sister! We were welcomed warmly and the photos do not lie. The loft is lovely. The room has everything you need including a fan for us Americans who are used to AC. There was an abundant breakfast each morning and Guidebooks available too. Although Claire can certainly advise you too. The loft is quiet, but the neighborhood has many good restaurants that were a perfect way for us to end our days.
