London Bridge Station is both an underground (tube) and overground station that provides excellent access to London. It is on the Jubilee Line which is the only line to connect to all others. Very convenient.
Other Things to Note
It is with regret that we cannot accommodate more than two people, even if you have small children.
We can book any restaurant ahead of your stay as they get booked up quickly, especially at the weekend.
There are 'Boris bikes' around the corner from the apartment, which are a great and cost effective way to travel around.
We are pretty relaxed, but we try to avoid wearing shoes upstairs as the area is carpeted.
Please set the alarm when leaving the flat if no-one is in.
Smoking is prohibited in the flat, but you can smoke outside of the front door.
What a fantastic stay! Claire was a gracious and welcoming host, and her flat is exactly as described. It was easy to coordinate our arrival, the room was well furnished, the bathrooms sparkling, and the neighborhood is quiet and lovely. While we spent lots of time out enjoying the city, it was great to come back to friendly faces at the flat. There was a terrific breakfast laid out for us by the time we woke up, and probably the best surprise was the stack of extra little towels in the bathroom for us! Very handy to have a cool wet towel handy after being out on a hot day. The room would get a little warm on a June afternoon, but there were a few fans at the ready to cool it down. All and all, it was a great experience in a great area, and this will be one of the places I recommend to others heading to London.
Our stay with Claire was excellent! She was a very gracious host. We had an excellent stay with her. Her friend Stewart and brother were very helpful. They couldn't have done anything more to make your stay great.
Staying with Claire is a cross between staying in a 4-Star Hotel and staying with your long-lost sister! We were welcomed warmly and the photos do not lie. The loft is lovely. The room has everything you need including a fan for us Americans who are used to AC. There was an abundant breakfast each morning and Guidebooks available too. Although Claire can certainly advise you too. The loft is quiet, but the neighborhood has many good restaurants that were a perfect way for us to end our days.
It was wonderful experience.Clairy and her brother are so nice and hospitable.Their house is modern and clean. Also the location is quite convenient, just about 10mintues walking to tube.Strongly recommend.
We spent three nights in Claire's appartment. It was a pleasure.
Claire and his borhter are very enhousiaste and nice.
Despite our slight delay on arrival, Claire took time to give us lots of good restaurant addresses.
The appartment is very spacious and breakfasts are delicious!
We felt, just for a weekend to be true Londoner.
Thank you Claire for this weekend,
The listing description was accurate but more importantly, the host (and her partner Stuart when he was there) were wonderfully welcoming, engaging and entertaining. Claire always had a sunny outlook, even though she was very busy, and it was an absolute pleasure for us to spend a few days in her flat.
This is a great, eclectic area of London, and the flat is a pleasant walk from London Bridge tube. I would thoroughly recommend this airbnb, especially for those with an interest in seeing a part of London that not all tourists get to see. Don't forget to visit Borough Market!
Claire was an absolutely wonderful hostess! From the start, communication was clear and amiable, and we were greeted at the door like old friends. Claire and her boyfriend Stewart were lovely and went out of their way to provide us with ideas and recommendations for things to do and places to see. The place was clean and beautifully decorated, exactly like the pictures shown... and in a great quiet but exciting neighborhood just a short walk from the London Bridge and other main attractions. Additionally, the breakfast was yummy and just what we needed for a long day of exploring. We would love to stay with Claire again when we return to London, and I would recommend this AirBnB to anyone visiting the city!
