Looking for a quiet hideaway close to the action in Ubud? Our guest house is the place for you. Great for families, couples and solo travellers, the house has room for four. There's access to a large pool, AC, and even a small kitchen.
Hello everyone! Come stay with us at our sweet little guest house in Ubud. Great for couples, families, and solo travellers, the guest house has room for four. The house is nestled at the end of a quiet street in the friendly neighbourhood of Nyuh Kuning. The property is a five-minute walk to Ubud's famous monkey forest, and from there, a ten-minute walk into central Ubud.
The room has a queen size bed and teak bunk beds, both which have mosquito nets. The room has AC. There is car parking if needed. There's also an outdoor kitchen, a sink, and fridge.
The guest house is set on a private part of our property, next to our organic vegetable garden, and has it's own entrance (we share the main gate). It has an outside sitting area, a private bathroom with an outdoor shower, a fridge, a sink, and wifi. You are also welcome to use our huge salt water pool (which is empty all day while our kids are at school). There is also a badminton court, and lots of room to roam.
Interaction with Guests
During your stay with us, we're happy to suggest things to do, places to see, and interesting people to meet. Some of our favourite things in Ubud are yoga classes, mountain biking, and visits to some of Bali's incredible temples. We can also connect you a local driver, or help rent a scooter. We'll even hook you up with a baby-sitter if you want a night off from your kids!
We're an active Canadian family of 5 - three boys, the oldest age 15, and twins age 10. Four years ago we relocated to Bali, and have been enjoying the change of pace and fresh air ever since. We love Bali, and love meeting new people, so thought we would put our guest house up for rent. Come stay with us!
The guest house is located in Nyuh Kuning, a small villa just south of central Ubud. There are several restaurants and small shops located in the village which serve both western and Indonesian food. Nearby is the monkey forest, and just north of the monkey forest (about a ten minute walk) is Monkey Forest Road, Ubud's most popular street for shopping, eating, and people watching.
The yoga barn, Ubud's top spot for yoga, is a ten minute walk away.
Other Things to Note
If you are interested in yoga, one of the villa owners, Janet, is available to give private yoga sessions at the villa, or in her yoga room down the road.
Janet currently teaches retreats, teacher training and privates in Bali, and would be happy to offer you a one hour session for 600,000 rupiah. If you're interested, please speak with Yoni to book a session.
The room has a queen size bed and a set of bunk beds.
Smoking is not allowed.
Guest allowed, with permission.
We had a great stay in the little guest house. Friendly staff and nice big pool. Great location if your looking for something quite. It was bit of a walk into the central area of Ubud about 20 mins. Make sure to bring torches if your walking home after the monkey forest closes.
We had a fantastic time staying at Yoni and Peter's place. This is a real oasis, located just outside the bustle of Ubud. The swimming pool is outstanding and it was amazing to have the entire pool to ourselves the entire three days we were there. Walking through the Monkey Forest to go into town was "interesting", but we discovered that there were actually some great cafes and restaurants on the Nyuh Kuning side of the forest - we had a wonderful meal at D' Warung and also at Leke Lake (only a few doors away), where we watched a Balinese dance performance.
We were felt very welcome as soon as we arrived here. It was great to meet Peter and here about their life in Ubud. Yoni (the villa manager) is lovely, and an amazing resource.
The accommodation suited our needs and is in a very tranquil partof the property. The pool was great and our son loved exploring the grounds.
The village itself is gorgeous and only a short walk to the main part of Ubud which we did everyday.
Had a great stay at Yoni and Peter's place in ubud. Great location and trully an amazing property with a nice pool.
Lovely place and lovely owners . Great pool and only a ten minute walk to Ubud through the monkey forest . The manager Yoni is so helpful she even gave me a temporary phone to use incase I needed anything . Her husband is also a great driver !
Great place (as in private and spacious guest house), fantastic staff, busy but friendly and engaging hosts, superb location, wonderful pool, tranquil setting, and a price that's so low you wonder whether there's a catch all add up to a listing you cannot afford to pass up. Yoni, the manager, will accommodate your every need even while caring for her 3-month old child. All arrangements, including the airport pickup and all communications were flawless. Please stay here and you won't be disappointed.
My sisters and I had a wonderful 3 nights stay at this tranquil guesthouse with a convenient location (about 15 minutes walk to Ubud town). We loved the pool and Cookie (for making us feel safe) :)
The supplied local mobile phone, handdrawn map and torchlight were much appreciated for the duration of our stay. Peter, Janet, Yoni and Kadek were nice and helpful with our queries as well. All-in-all it was a very enjoyable stay!

We're a family of 5 from Canada living in Indonesia. This is our fourth year abroad and we don't know if we will ever leave! In 2011, we bought and renovated our dream house, in Nyuh Kuning, a neighourhood just south of the Monkey Forest in Ubud, where we now live.
Our three children (a teenager and twin tweens) attend the famous 'Green School' here in Bali, about 25 minutes away. Janet runs a magazine called Inspired Bali, as well as teaching various yoga retreats throughout the year. Peter is a former journalist turned entrepreneur, and is the cofounder of a coworking space in Ubud called Hubud. Come stay with us!
