Great place to stay in Guanajuato. Beautiful hacienda where you get your own room and own bathroom. Donna is really nice and helpful. If you're in Mexico you have to go to Guanajuato and experience this beautiful little city.

Donna helped me get to her place over the phone because the GPS did take me the wrong way. She was very understanding & patient & she got me all checked in & was very clear on instructions. She helped me out with a map of the city & I felt safe in the area. Definitely make sure the wear tennis shoes. Lots of walking in this city!

Donna was accommodating and welcoming upon arrival. She checked me in, provided me the WIFI information, her local cell phone number, a map of the city and a 5 gallon container of drinking water. The garden is well-cared for, lots of shade and very pretty. The location is about a 15 minute walk from the center of town, but populated the whole way, and I felt safe as it’s not too far from a police department. While the room itself has the potential to be great, I would rate it “FAIR” at best. Yes it has your basic necessities and a few extras such as a small refrigerator and 2-burner stove top, but as a paying guest and in comparison to two other locations I stayed within the same price range in Guanajuato, I feel that the presentation and cleanliness of the room could have been better. Another minor thing is that hot water is only available for a couple hours between 9 and about 11 am. This was a little inconvenient for me since I’m usually out exploring by 8 am and I don’t return until late. Regardless, it met my basic needs and I had a great time while I was in Guanajuato.

Donna was very nice. She helped explain the direction to the taxi driver and also called the taxi for us. The place is secure and not far from the central historical district. The room I stayed in was a bit old but the shower was good. You need to bring your own shampoos/ bath soaps. The nispero studio is more modern and spacious and I'd suggest going with that if you don't mind spending a little bit more.

Response from Donna:
Dear Julia, The shampoo was always in the bathroom sink, the same that is used as hand or body soap. You were asking for amenities that the announcement does not include as: coffee maker, hair dryer. If you had read my ad or all my options, you have chosen to pay more and have a Studio with more amenities. However, you got help from me without paying anything, just friendly ¡Gracias!

This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in!!!! I loved it. It has everything you need, is extremely clean, and the location is easy to walk to the center. Buses to Dolores Hidalgo right outside. The hacienda is beautiful too. Hot water and water pressure are great. 10/10!!!!

Donna was a gracious host! Her residence was everything I expected and more. It is in a great part of Guanajuato where you can either walk down to the center of the city (10 minutes) or can walk up to the top of the mountain and view down on the city. I would definitely stay there again if I make it back to Guanajuato.

Amazing city with a special feeling that people rarely experience, and I know through the friends I've made here that a lot of them instantly felt the same about this place. There is always something fun to do in Guanajuato, always full of activities, from free outdoor concerts to festivals plus museums, theaters, galleries, tours within the state, just taking a walk by the city and enjoy the lively atmosphere and the energy here is so relaxed, you'll forget which city you are in, it's well worth a visit!
