It's hard not to fall for our apartment... We certainly did. Less than a block away from major subway lines, on a tree-lined street rich with authentic Brooklyn & Caribbean culture, all types of Bars & Restaurants and the Brooklyn Museum.
Our apartment is located on the second floor of an historical building, and this particular room is the first one upon entering, meaning you can choose to come and relax in the living room and get the lowdown on the best places to eat around Franklin Ave or snag some free passes to the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Gardens or keep to yourself in your spacious bedroom. It's totally up to you.
As a bonus, if you like settling in a bit more you get your own drawer in the dresser as well as some hooks to hang your clothes. You are welcome to utilize our living space to watch television or play some video games (via Playstation or N64, cable & Netflix) all movies and games are at your disposal as long as they are respectfully put back. You are also welcome to heat food up in the kitchen, but we appreciate cooking and leftovers be kept to a minimum. And needless to say you have full access to the bathroom (commode, shower, sink and all)!
Interaction with guests
While there are three people living in the apartment at any given time, two of these are most often working or off on adventures in our great city, and may only be seen in rare events, however if you are in need of a drink our bartender in residence can certainly point you in the right direction (if not make you one). I (Acadia) your host freelance so I am often around and can not only tell you better directions than (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps has to offer, but have been known to give tours of the neighborhood and share a meal with my guests if they so desire.
Just don't shoot a porn in our living room or do anything that resembles this to our stuff:
Also you have not be allergic to our kitty/hate cats for your own sake.
We should get along just fine.
We are a group of devoted artists and professionals, with some insider knowledge on the best places to eat and drink in the city due to a resident bartender and chef and our own propensity to try new things. This of course means we have a great little in-home bar and would be happy to mix a thing or two up for you. I personally pride myself in our collection of books and knowledge of history in New York City, especially our corner of Crown Heights that a rich past, including that of the demolished Ebbets Fields which is the original home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Two out of three of us also happen to be Jedis of the MTA systems here and will help you steer clear of any work changes or general craziness on the Subways.
Since this isn't OkCupid or the like, I won't get to in-depth with you, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be happy to respond if you have any questions!
In this case we hope you fall in love with our apartment and neighborhood the way we did years ago and hence never left. Whether you are staying for a day or a couple weeks, we hope that after all the excitement of the City you feel like this when coming back to a comfortable bed in your private room:
(Even if this is the City that Never Sleeps, it will catch up eventually, and when it does we are here for you).
