Neighborhood highlights

Our home is located in beautiful Big Creek Valley. We are on a hill overlooking panoramic views of the agricultural fields, farms and wooded hills surrounding us.

We also own "Used Anew", a company that deconstructs unwanted buildings, and processes reclaimed materials for repurposing. Material processing and storage is located onsite and is visible from the apartment's bay window.

This is an active dairy farming community, so guests may be treated to views of farming operations in progress in the fields surrounding our property.

There is an old-fashioned butcher shop featured on Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern." They make amazing and unusual summer sausages, beef and pork jerky, and other unique offerings.

An 1874 country church and its preserved associated horse stable (now outfitted with tables and benches) - both available for events rental - are just down the hill from us.

We are close to "Amish country". A small Amish community has started up just a few miles from us. Guests may visit an Amish owned grocery store about 2 miles away, or can take a short drive to the Cashton area where a much larger and more established Amish community is settled. Many Amish homes post signs near the roads, advertising various products available for sale, from produce to furniture and from maple syrup to horse harnesses!
