About this listing

The space

While in Buffalo, enjoy peace and quiet in my lovely Victorian era home, situated in the heart of the Elmwood Village. You will have a private, second-floor bedroom with a queen-sized bed, closet and dresser. Across the hall is a large shared bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a generous tub for a leisurely soak. There is also a half-bath on the first floor. Feel free to make use of the rest of the house, including the living room, formal dining room, kitchen and laundry. In the warmer months, relax in the backyard, enjoy a cool drink on the patio or take an afternoon nap in the hammock. I share my home with a shy and gentle Corgi named Henry.

A variety of breakfast fare will be offered. I am happy to make breakfast for you when I am home. When I am off to work early, you are most welcome to help yourself. Feel free to use the kitchen at any time.

Alternate-side parking is available on this one-way street. You will be steps away from a major bus route.

To really enjoy this neighborhood, put on your walking shoes.
Among our great restaurants are Kuni's, Vera Pizza, Trattoria Aroma, The Left Bank, The Thin Man Brewery, Saigon Cafe and Five Points Toast Cafe.

Enjoy shopping at Neo, Everything Elmwood, Paradise Wines, Urban Roots, Penzey's Spices, The Treehouse, Shoo Fly, The Lexington Coop, Talking Leaves Books and many other unique shops.

Immerse yourself in our many cultural offerings: The Albright Knox Art Gallery, The Burchfield Penny Art Center, The Buffalo History Museum, The Richardson Olmstead Complex, Kleinhan's Music Hall, The Karpeles Manuscript Museum, Shea's Performing Arts Center, and others.

You will be minutes away from downtown Buffalo, the Buffalo Convention Center, First Niagara Center, HarborCenter, the Canalside District, the Buffalo Medical Campus, the Peace Bridge (bring your passport) and Niagara Falls.

I am a lifelong resident of the area and have lots of suggestions for ways you might spend your free time in our beautiful, diverse piece of the world.

It would be my great pleasure to be your host.

Caroline's house was our first shared space airbnb, and now we're hooked. She is a gracious host and her house is beautiful and full of character and coziness. We felt at home and yet spoiled. Loved the location, breakfasts, Henry, the whole thing. We highly recommend Caroline's place!
